Feel free to substitute "regular season princes".

I'm happy to be gender neutral in my disdain.

I'm not worried or panicked.

I'm just rolling my eyes.

I wasn't looking forward to playing these guys Dion as I don't like how they play. I didn't think they would be able to shut us down this easily. I'm sure Sutter can get that to change

Learn from today and move on.
Losing is bad enough, but I don't think that is where the frustration comes from. It's how they lost. It's the lack of pushback, urgency, drive... whatever you want to call it. Any team that scores a single goal in two games can't expect to win in the long run. Or a team whose offensive juggernaut doesn't bring it to the next level for the playoffs.

Can they fix it? Sure. But long-time fans have seen things play out this way before, and frankly I don't blame them for being sensitive to this sort of lackluster play.

Well, that was disappointing. Flames need to find the offence. The Stars are beatable, but you can't look past them and have to put in the effort.

That was an abysmal game to attend....just no emotion at all.

Fans did their part though....place was rockin til the team drained it dry.

2 games in and the Flames don't have an even strength point. That's not hard fought. That's no fight at all.

Hard to believe this is the same team with three 40 goal scorers and two players with more than 100 points.

Hopefully going on the road wakes them up a little. I wonder if they felt more pressure playing at home.

Darryl, work your magic, sir. We need some darrylising to grab the momentum back in this series.

I didn't think Dallas was very good. Negative goal differential and fewest regulation wins of any team in the playoffs.

Flames are much better than that team. I didn't see a sweep necessarily but no ES goals in 2 home games. Yeah that's pretty disappointing.

I don't think the dam will burst for the first line in any single game. They are going to need to grind out a series win any way they can and just start to feel more comfortable as the PO's progress. That's how this is going to have to work.

The crowd was awesome to start the game. The Flames gave less than nothing to cheer about as the game went on.

Can confirm. Wasn't in the mood to cheer for missed passes, broken plays and molasses-slow transitions through the neutral zone.

They lost 1-0

7-1 against the Canucks was much worse

The weirder thing about game 2 is the red jerseys went from like 95% in game 1 to what seemed like around 80% in game two. Almost like our own fans were trolling the C of Red.

Dallas played the trap they always do and Flames couldn't get zone entries with speed or activate the D.

And the Saddeledome ice is terrible with the nicer weather and full building.
Top line relies on crisp passes and precise plays and a puck bobble, which was happening all game, but especially the first when they were buzzing kills the play hurt the confidence.

The good news is the Stars haven't looked dangerous at all. Team defense has been good, the penalty kill has been perfect and has looked pretty effortless to be honest, Markstrom has been great and virtually perfect himself.

Only goal against was off a bad turnover and perfect bang-bang deflection in front, which are the exact types of goals we need to create. Crash the net, and shoot through screens for tips and rebounds.

Dube has looked good, but largely generating chances by himself. Haven't seen much from the rest of our offensive players, though I liked Backlund's game tonight again.

I just finished pulling highlights from the last regular season game vs Dallas, and our 3 goals scored against Oettinger were Tkachuk's stuff from the corner for his 40th/100th point, and 2 point shots with Backlund crashing the net causing mayhem which allowed the puck to hit traffic and bounce in. Those are the playoff goals we need to create.

Not sure how you could be a fan from the last 7 years of this team and not be concerned by what we’ve seen. People can act all too cool for school if they want but what odds would you have given this team scoring 1 goal in 2 games before the series started? If the flames play more like this they’re going to lose this series and we can toss yet another first round exit on the pile.
