These players are regular season princesses....always have been.

Until they PROVE otherwise, that's all they are.

A team that wins 61% of the time just played a team that wins 56% of the time twice. They each won once. And this is meltdown time?

I thought the fans sounded pretty decent from the TV. Tried to get them going with GFG multiple times, including through the final minutes. But throwing the puck blind through the front of your net onto the oppositions stick tends to kill that sort of enthusiasm.

It's pretty bad when the post game interviews are the first time you notice Toffoli.

After Dallas got their one goal, Calgary did absolutely nothing to earn a tying goal.

That was incredibly disheartening. One of the worst efforts since Darryl Sutter took over the team and it just feels unsettling.

Jarnkrok and Toffoli are complete duds. Probably better to have kept the picks for the inevitable rebuild…

Try not to overreact, why don't you.

Such historians.

Improvement in the post-season isn't linear. Sutter is taking these guys through playoffs grade 1 / playoffs 101 right now. He had to wait 82 games to begin to give them the real lessons.

Do you think it was any wonder why he downplayed their regular season success all year? It's because he knows it's all just a qualifier to begin the real test.

We have a 2x (3) champion behind the bench. The amount of times he got the Kings to come back from looking down and out was incredible.

Bowness hasn't won ####. You think Sutter doesn't have the chops to out-coach this guy? Dallas has one move, and that's the trap.

He wouldn't come in here if he didn't believe he had the answers.

So calm yourselves. The mental fortitude doesn't come overnight.

If it was a cake walk then I'd be very concerned about them in the next round.

To overcome the demons you have to face them first. There was no way around that.

There was no way around losing a game. There was no way around struggling offensively at some point.

'04 Flames were shutout multiple times too, FYI.

Welcome to the war of the playoffs, ladies and gents.

If this series was a track meet instead of a chess match, the Flames would win it handily. But by shutting down all the creative play, Dallas is going to force the Flames into a series of coin-flips.

Hopefully a trip away from Calgary and a bit less pressure has them loosen their grips on their sticks a bit. I'm not worried yet, but I'll be ticked if we're forced to watch 5 more games like that one if the Flames don't come out on top in the end.
wouldn't say that at all. think of it this way, Dallas has limited us to 1 goal for over two games at home. we didnt really look like scoring tonight either. I'm not optimistic myself but I hope I'm wrong

I wonder if Ruzicka can play right wing. I'd love to see him sub in for Jarnkrok just as a minor roster adjustment.

This might be the easiest playoff game the stars have or will play in a long time

No kidding.
What a joke. Did any of you panic merchant's think they were going 16-0?
I think for me to enjoy the playoffs I may have to stay away from CP.
If you are throwing the team under the bus tonight you are doing a #### job of being a fan.

Chill out

8 series right now and 6 of them are tied 1-1
COL-NSH could’ve been 1-1 as well, anything could happen in OT

can’t always win 4 without a loss in between somewhere.
Learn from today and move on.

I'm not panicking yet. Let's see what they can do in Dallas. Hopefully this was a wake up call and they get back to how they've played most of the year. They've had a few average stretches this yesr and bounced back and I hope to see that in game 3.
