If he gets a shutout, Smith owes it to the goalposts, the crossbar, and his defensemen. Getting beaten by everything but nothing going in.

Early. LA will move them in an inch.

LA is playing really well in this period. McDoofus has had a couple of his usual rushes, but the Kings have done a good job keeping everything to the outside and getting their sticks on everything. Overall I'd say Edmonton looks frustrated.
Kings have also come very close to scoring several times.

"Look how gritty Yamamoto is playing!"

Smith spazzing on every save. Quick chill on every save.
The contrast is staggering.

DeBrusk: Archibald looks good no rust at all.
NHL.COM: J. Archibald TOI 2:16.
Okay thanks for that awesome insight.

Good road period by the Kings.
You expect the home team to push back hard to start game 2 after dropping the opener. Look at Minnesota.

Excellent road period by LA. Outshooting them 13-11 and they had several good scoring chances. Smith will let in a stinker eventually. Just gotta keep shooting the puck from everywhere.

The difference between a hot-headed career 1-B goalie and a hall of famer.
