We made it to the first line of the musical number(maybe less than 5 minutes in) and noped the #### out of it. Couldn't do it, even for laughs.

I was a pretty big musicals fan in school and could sing a good chunk of the score to Cats among others. Even went to see it once. So I'm kinda interested to see how it sounds aside from the weird look.

Just finished the Jimmy Saville documentary. Beyond the horror of his decades-long abuse, and his impunity from being taken to account for it, I was baffled at how he ever became a beloved national icon in the first place. You couldn’t invent a more creepy, sleazy, weird persona. If Saville was a fictional character, a stereotype of a pedophile, critics would say you were laying it on a little thick. And yet people literally cheered him in the streets and compared him to Santa Claus.

I know the past is a different country figuratively, and the UK is a different country literally. But while watching decades of the guy’s weirdo performances and odious interviews, I kept asking myself what in #### were these people thinking?

The documentary cruised past Jimmy's occult connections, his ties to Aleister Crowley and satanism. Jimmy considered himself a great wizard and boasted he was 'the 13th son of a 13th son'. Jimmy cast a dark and powerful spell on people. Which is to say, he used his charisma, resourcefulness and drugs to get the most rich and powerful to #### kids and love every minute of it. See all those big dumb smiles on the Royals faces whenever Jimmy was around? Makes me want to tear my skin off.

Ol' Jimmy probably could have helped you with that too...

What he actually did was bad enough. We don’t have to build it into elaborate conspiracies and satan-worship.

I don't blame the doc for focusing on the more tangible stuff, they pulled together a lot of great footage I hadn't seen before. I also get that the occult stuff is where people start to roll their eyes and how it was a good idea to cut it from a doc on a mainstream platform.

Why still pretend like Jimmy wasn't into the occult when he was super into the occult? Seems like the kind of thinking that protected Jimmy for so long: people projected their own paradigms on Jimmy, creating a mental blind spot to all the hints he was dropping.

I think that selling himself as being a master of this type of religious-mysticism was critical to how he drew people in and protected himself. Modern Satanism, in the vein of Aleister Crowley and Anton Levay, has always been about drawing the rich and powerful people into blackmail schemes.

I watched Metal Lords on a flight yesterday. It was good. The first half was enjoyable. Reminded me of high school. The last half was just okay. Not the payoff I had hoped for. Kind of like high school.

We have started watching Someone Feed Phil.

It is good, odd, but good.

Netflix released a cartoon based on Usagi Yojimbo comic books. The comics are amazing. Remains to be seen how good the cartoon is. No shortage of material to draw upon.

It’s about a rabbit ronin in the edo period in Japan.

This looks really low budget and not at all like the comics.

They cancelled the Jeff Smith's Bone trilogy of movies. That's the 3rd time that development has been cancelled (Nickelodeon, Warner Bros and now Netflix). It's an amazing series, with a huge fanbase. I don't know what it's going to take to get it done.

Yeah I skipped past it as it looked like a generic low budget CG show, but I'll give it a shot if the source material is that good.

Final half of the final season of Ozark came out on Friday. I binged it. It was good. Better than the first half of S4.

I didn't like it. Felt (to me) like they got tired of doing the show and just decided to tie some of the loose ends halfheartedly. Everything about the endings was neither believable nor spectacular.

I really liked Ozark until the last season. But I do see how it is not in the same class as BCS.

I was also let down by the end season of Ozark. Won't say much due to spoilers but most of the storyline felt forced to me.

We’re only two episodes into these new ones and I’m feeling exactly the same. Word is the last episode is a big disappointment.

I liked the ending, but the last few episodes I found Wendy to just be completely over the top.

Thats just blatant and rampant misogyny...just like the type that Wendy has spent seasons trying to overcome.

It isnt. Wendy is the worst.
