It is an absolute disgrace that CBC does not prioritize the Canadian teams. Once the Rangers went to OT that game should have been moved to the Sportsnet channels and the Flames should have been on CBC. I cut down on cable specifically because I was under the impression the Flames would be on CBC. No one in Canada gives a #### about the US based teams when a Canadian team is playing. Make those few people pay for Sportsnet, not the rest of the country. I hate Canadian media with a passion.

Hopefully the Flames do not play on Sunday May 15 (currently game 7). CBC is committed to the Juno Awards broadcast.

We didn't let computers try to send men to the moon automatically.
Fun fact: Back in the 1970s, David H. Ahl compiled a book with source code for dozens of primitive computer games in BASIC. In 2010, an updated edition of the same book was published – and Ahl wrote a preface mentioning that some of the AI algorithms from those 1970s games were still being used in modern video games, including EA Sports games.
If you've ever wondered why the AI is so crappy in EA games, now you know. The AI that automates your PVR is pretty much exactly the same level of crap.

If you are there on time, it allows you to "Watch Live" even if it's not on your channel, as long as you have rights to do so.
I'll say, that SN-NOW started off clunky and troublesome, but the past few months it seems to be very reliable.

The other thing about the SN app for ios is that it is pure ####ing garbage and stops working all the time randomly, forcing you to restore your purchase (but of course figuring this out is not intuitive), has closed captioning randomly on as a default every now and then, prevents you from streaming constantly or with excessive delays, and can’t be easily logged into or your account accessed unless you contact Sportsnet, who will tell you the problem is with Apple so you contact Apple, who will tell you the problem is with Sportsnet so you contact Sportsnet, who will tell you they can’t fix anything and that they actually are Rogers employees who don’t really know how to fix anything. Also, fun times trying to get ahold of this stupid companies people, as you have to go online and “chat” with them as no phone number is provided to contact on the website and they generally don’t have solutions or even understand their product anyway. Further, after multiple hours of them trying to figure out wtf is wrong with their ####ty app, the game will be over or you’ll have missed like 2 hours of it.
#### Sportsnet and their net negative app, and #### Sportsnet for not fixing it. Sportsnet owes me, based on my calculations of the $200 annual fee, about $50 for missing 1/4 of times I should have been able to use it or maybe even more for my time and stress trying to get their stupid ####ty app to work.
Just use Lemieux, save yourself the time money and headache. Their app is a joke.

seriously they should hire Mario to show them how to run a streaming site
Also, if I miss one period of Flames hockey its not worth the cost savings of cord cutting so I have basic Cable plus SN until the Flames are done or on CBC full time. Rest is Mario.
If the NHL had a good reliable source for all games I would signup every single year...no blackouts, because they don't make sense in this day and age anyway. If you want people to spend money you have to be better than the illegal streaming site.

I also think it's ridiculous that with all these channels that the games are scheduled back to back.
Why are Flames games starting at 8:00?
Dedicate SN West to the Flames. Who cares if the Pens/Rangers is in the 3rd? Watch it on SN East. If the early game goes to OT then you're in the same boat anyway.
You have folks like myself either not watching or stopping early due to the late start. I'd likely watch the whole game if it started an hour earlier (thus staying up later).
Outright advertise which channel the games are dedicated to. The channel guides would show it. The join already in progress when the original game ends.

I almost want to be witty and say you didn't miss much. Yeah, the score was 1-0, yadda, yadda...but it's just so strangely bizarre how the Sportsnet commentary is so slanted against the Flames. Hrudey in particular last night, just very strange comments and analysis from him.

The 2000h start is to allow for complete doubleheaders as is done on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the regular season. The teams in the Central timezone are starting their home games after 2030h!

Omg it's so bad. Actually worked pretty well last night but generally the stream is glitchy, I've had games show up as blacked out, the back/forward buttons only work like half the time and half the time the post game coverage abruptly cuts out and you have to go find which channel the feed was left on. Boggles my mind that the quality is so bad for a paid product in regular season when live streams on CBC for olympics or in the playoffs is generally a much better experience and it's FREE.
I'm amazed you ever got through with support though. Every time I try it's unstaffed or my tweets and emails go unanswered.
Still I've cut the cord and want to watch the game so it's the only option, no? Never heard of Lemieux (other than the player), is that another streaming app?

All the channels on GEM appeared to be playing the OT game at the start of the Flames' game last night.

Just sucked for me cause it was buffering when the only goal in the game happened.

In 2010, the April 21 Kings-Canucks playoff game had the same problem. The Bruins-Sabres game went to double overtime and only CBC Vancouver had the Canucks game from the start.
