Well I guess a rule is a rule but at the same time what was Rasmus supposed to do there exactly, the other player had dropped his gloves a good 3 seconds before him and engaged him already.

Apparently not, which is ridiculous.

Apparently you don't get kicked out in that scenario if one fighter is the instigator. Which clearly there was. So Kilingberg should get 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting, and a game misconduct. Rasmus should get 5 for fighting.

Seems like an easy call. Refs messed up badly.

But what qualifies as a secondary fight? Again, I see this happen regularly when a fight breaks out and then another one happens later, and a game misconduct is almost never called.

It just feels like the refs have been given the rule book for the first time in years and are calling anything they can. It's just not in the spirit of playoff hockey, or even regular season hockey.

Pretty sure Dallas got an extra 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike

Raffl. Not Klingberg. No instigator. Terrible job by the refs. Clear as day.

He’s going to get roasted for that take, however but let’s separate the opinion from the man himself (not directed at you either)
I wasn’t completely serious… I actually think he’s a great person and love his colour… it seems he turns on Calgary on national broadcasts for some reason though and goes a bit overboard on the praise for the other teams, but he is still a great guy and I still like him.

McDavid wouldn't have backchecked like that any Draisaitl would have tried to fly the zone. Great play Johnny

Gaudreau is basically prime Kane + Prime Toews combined this year

I think if the second fight starts while the first is still going on, they won't call it, but in this situation, the first fight was broken up and the guys were skating off, so it was called.
