I didn't know secondary fights at the end of a period were automatic ejections. According to the panel, Ras and Kingberg probably didn't know either.

There was already a fight in that incident. Anyone to fight after the first fight gets a game misconduct. It's been around for a while to prevent line brawls.

Usually the instigator applies to the one starting the fight.
