Jays getting screwed over. Vladdy definitely tagged him. He's been screwed over twice, unreal.

Wow.
New York has to be able to buzz in and overrule that.
Vladdy totally tagged him. Can understand how the ump missed that, but isn't that why there is replay?

I'd rather the Yankees win now and lose in September and October.
Use it as a learning experience

It can easily unravel a team but frankly the Jays have been dog#### in the consistent hitting department this year. You have to be a threat every at bat with the lineup they have on paper. Instead they've really had some lucky games with late game heroics, but more runs should be scored. It's obviously easier said than done but it's frustrating when guys are left on base or not getting on at all. Very few guys have been consistent.

The absence of Teo is having a huge impact. Everybody is hitting out of their spots and Vladdy isn't getting anything good to hit. I'm confident they'll be fine once he comes back. Plus adding Jansen will be an improvement to the bottom of the order too.

I think you're giving them too much credit. This team isn't making good contact. Hitting in a particular place in the lineup doesn't resolve that. This team is good even without those two on paper. It's an individual sport as much as any, and they've been lucky the bullpen and a couple starters have been on fire. Can't expect to win by one run every night.

It's not as individual sport as it seems. Jays aren't hitting because they are not creating holes. They don't start runners and they don't hit balls into holes created by speed. They dont bunt runners up or bunt for hits.

I get it, but basic things like getting on base and sacrifice flies they're just not doing. And when have the Jays actually run or bunted? Healthy lineup or otherwise it hasn't traditionally been part of their repertoire.

Sure but this year is different. They got Tapia and Zimmer in this year to not run? Might as well keep Grichuk and swing away then.

Those players haven't shown they're good enough to get on base to even have the chance to run. My point is they're not getting on base enough to do anything else. The contact hasn't been there for most of them.

Missed the game but 1-11 with risp. Brutal. Poor Manoah too, looks like he deserved better.
Oh well, need a win tomorrow, go Jays!

Teo, Siemen, Grichuk out -
Chapman , Tapia, Zimmer in
Add In Bo and Vlad not hitting as well..
I tried to warn about the chase rate problems early on but no one listened (slightly kidding but through Spring training you could see they weren’t on and are having a horrible approach)
On the plus they have hit horribly , have only 3 starters and yet have a great record
On the negative they have an amazing 1 run record , no depth , and can’t hit
We will see soon which trend reverses

So they're at what, about .200 with RISP for the season?
