A lot of the time he just seems indifferent to them.

Yes, my point is he lingers seemingly expecting another pass attempt during the scramble.

I get the impression that he thinks the entire sport is beneath him.

The entire offensive strategy for the Oilers feels like they practice it on PlayStation.

Drai for sure hates all his teammates and looks down on them.

On easy mode, so Jesse can keep up.

I think this plays into how broken the oilers team has been and will continue to be. Have any of you ever played on a hockey team where one or two players was way better than everyone else on the team and they act like it too? They don’t pass pucks, take longer shifts than anyone else, double-shift themselves, get angry at others when they make mistakes, and never take accountability when their own make mistakes. It’s brutal.

You’ll have times where those players will single-handedly win the game but, even when that happens, the rest of the team feels completely separate from it - like you’re just spectators. Hard to ever feel like a team when the only way you win is to wait for those guys to do something.

Couldn't help but notice what McDavid said he liked most about their play in game 1 was their PP.... I guess when that's all they're good at what else could he have picked?

Yep. He has never learned to be a good leader. The Oilers should have made developing that character their no. 1 priority, but it's not in the culture of the organization. They've wasted years with his talent as a result. Character isn't what they focus on, as further evidenced by trading for Kane. They just care about stats.

I think he's telling the league and refs ever so subtly that GIVE US MORE PP!

One of the great forgotten story lines of Gm 1 is the fact that Victor Arvidsson missed game 1 after suffering an injury against Seattle last week.

Pretty fortunate for the Oilers to face the Kings with a significant loss like that...and they still got out chanced 5v5.

Oiler's media by tomorrow: "Got'em right where we want them, if the refs would make the right calls"

I’m here. I thought that both teams played well. LA played was better than I expected, and I may have underestimated their tenacity. Outgoaltended again doesn’t help. I still think the oilers win the series though, after all it’s only one game.

Oilers getting close to "must win" territory.....cant imagine going back to LA down 2 ends up well for them.

Go Kings Go!!!!

As long as Quick remains in beast mode, the Oilers will be in tough to win this series. That's what good goaltending can do for you. They might be able to PP their way to a win or two, but judging by game 1, the Kings look like the tougher, more balanced team.
