There were some extremely weak calls last night. I hope the NHL isn't trying to turn the playoffs into some sort of non-contact version of hockey. One of the best things about the playoffs is that they put the whistles away and let the men compete.
Seems to me it always starts like this.
I also saw a lot of guys get tackled last night too.
Sutter is so on point today.
Wills hadn't finished asking the question and Darryl was spitting out the answer. No. Not less than regular season for penalties.
So ....discipline is so important.
After the whistle skate away.....God I hope we can do that.
The stars are such a bunch of cheap shot artists and I hope the bench is screaming to remind them not to fall prey to getting sucked in .
Man officials better NOT ruin the flow and let them play until the spearing and slashing begins.
I just pray guys aren't busting sticks over any of our players.....and if they do I guess we have nuclear deterrents to use ....and I like our chances in that department.
Go Flames Go.

One of the refs tonight (Garrett Rank) was I'm sure one of the refs the last time the Flames played in LA when Derzi was being an clown and the PPs were like 6-2 LA. If it wasn't that one it was another one where the officiating was horrible.

I hope Lucic, Gud and Zad will give them the death stare!

Are they? Dallas is the least penalized team in the league.

I think some one has mentioned it, they've doing it for so long, the refs are kinds of not seeing it no more. Because if they call them every time they do it, Stars will be playing short handed pretty much the whole game.

Hopefully it's not a repeat tonight.
Looks like we got Wes McCauly at least, I have more faith in him calling a fair game than just about any other ref

If NHL officiating was smart they would have atleast one ref keeping an eye on Benn especially when he's behind the play for cheapshots. But unfortunately NHL officiating for the most part isn't smart.

Game starts at noon here. I won't be getting any work done this afternoon. I can't wait.
With the brutal officiating last night, I hope the Flames keep that in mind and don't take too many penalties -- let the Stars do that, and then take advantage on the PP.
Go Flames Go!
