I have used both Fansfirst and Ticketmaster for resale and they both work in the same way, more or less. Tickets get transferred when they are sold but payment to the seller doesn't get settled until after the event.

Sold many games without any issue. You only transfer your tickets once they are sold. Money e-transferred the day after the game is played.

Fansfirst used to pay the day after they sold. The 2019-20 season changed that, because of all the cancelled games. They had to ask all the sellers for the money back. I paid mine back right away, but some people weren't as quick, while others didn't pay. As of this season they changed it to paying out the day after the game. I have been paid on time after every single game this year. I have also bought for several more games from them without issue. My feedback is 100% on all transactions and interactions I've had with them.
My first place to buy and sell is CP. My next stop is fansfirst. I buy more games at fansfirst than here, because I am usually looking for a single ticket an hour or so before puck drop when my work schedule allows it.

I have listed on fansfirst and I have do not have to transfer my tickets to them when I list, maybe I am a trusted seller or maybe this is how it works for everyone. This makes it convenient as the listing is immediate and it is easy to take them down if I don’t want to list them anymore. As others have stated, I wouldn’t worry about not getting paid, they are trustworthy.
They have great customer service. Earlier this year, a friend bought tickets from fansfirst on game day and the seller was not responding to fansfirst requests to transfer the tickets. They called my friend, told him the story and asked if he would be happy with much better seats at no additional cost. They were going to eat the difference.
So even when things go a little sideways, at least in this case, they made things right, well actually, more than right.

Lots of PL seats look like they are being price adjusted down by resellers on Ticketmaster and are priced under the regular TM price which was $105 including fees and taxes.

As has been said already, 100% safe, secure and trustworthy. I've never had an issue in dozens of transactions.
The owners are real people. Local people. I've developed a business relationship with them. I had sold some of the games in 2019 that were covid canceled, months before the games were originally scheduled. When Covid hit, Fansfirst rightfully asked for their money back because they had to refund money to buyers once the games were officially cancelled. Unfortunately, I also had no money as work had paused by then too. I did pay them back a couple weeks later, but Fansfirst was very gracious and easy to deal with. 100% recommend. I am sure they must've had to absorb some losses there, as surely some people never did pay them back.

I am pretty disappointed right now. I have amazing seats but not getting bites. I posted them on the ticket exchange on this site for cheaper than Ticketmaster and FanFirst but I fear the Flames have overpriced this first round. Right now I am taking a $130 loss which I was worried about initially when I bought the tickets, quickly thought about it and assumed there was going to be a demand, to thinking there is a legit chance we do not sell out tonight

Coming out of Covid, with many past playoff failures that isn't too surprising. Demand has always grown round by round as they pick up momentum. A win tonight will see an uptick in demand for Thursday.

I think/hope you are right. I only need the second pair 1 out of every 3 games as I split my pair with 2 buddies but the second pair was not a group buy it was just me as I do not want to miss a single game live.
I always thought I would get at least my money back and not losing over $100 for any given game. Makes me really want the BOA next round to recoup some losses

Yeah, tons of great deals on tickets right now for anyone that didn't bother looking assuming they'd be too high. There's even a hundred or so actual ticketmaster seats available still, but then you're paying full price ($800 for a pair in the lower bowl for example, yikes).

Very interesting watching the trends on fansfirst. Just a couple days ago 2nd level tix started at $200+. Now down to $135.
Cheapest lower bowl is $220. And yet there’s a ton of press level and 2nd level for not much cheaper. The spread is so small it’s crazy. Who would pay $150 to sit 3rd level when you can get lower bowl for $220?
I’m shocked at the lack of demand. But it does mirror the regular season. Basically only original six and rivalry games were a hot ticket all year.
But if a 2nd round BOA happens, it’s gonna be the Wild West. Those tix were crazy expensive during the regular season.
Edit: prices dropped while I was typing. $210 lower and cheapest 2nd level is now $130.

Still a lot of people that don't want to be in a massive crowd or can't for medical reasons
also, failures of playoffs past...if the Flames go on a heater I bet demand goes up big time

I got lucky today my wife found someone at her work to pay the full $630 for my second pair of seats. It wonder if we see a full building tonight. I have received 3 emails from the flames saying “select tickets just released”.

Crazy the number of tickets for sale for Thursday. Feels like trying to get rid of a regular season game.....on a Thursday....against Dallas.

Demand is low for weeknight games that start at 8PM. Most people that can afford these tickets have jobs they have to wake up for the next day. Start the games at 7PM and you'll see the demand increase. Also, Dallas is not a big draw.
