I still miss the "Season's Greetings" in green script on the Saddledome ice between early December and NYE.

I miss the playoff logo on the ice. Are they not doing it at anymore? It kinda takes away from the atmosphere of the playoffs with that vacant.

They are putting the digital overlays for advertising in those locations depending on which broadcast you are watching.

Nothing is sacred anymore. Next up, big ad on the bottom of the Stanley cup.

People won't be a fan of one of the leading sponsors. Think Christmas.

I'll take it!

100% agree. The worst is how the digital overlay always F's with the quality of the picture. I think it's because the TV feed compression algorithms don't handle the overlayed image properly. It irritates me. But it seems I am one of the only ones who cares about picture quality these days

Helmet and jersey ads are way less distracting because, once the play starts, we're pretty zoomed out to even see any of it. Can anyone honestly make out any of the numbers or letttering on the back of a player's helmet? I certainly can't.
But digital ads on the screen can be way more distracting because it's in our viewing parameters. I've learned to zone out the digital glass ones. I don't think I've really ever noticed any digital ads on the ice though. Is that something new?

I wonder why they don't try digital advertising panels around the boards like the ones used in soccer matches.

Hockey Guy had a video today saying the Canucks reverse retro jersey was leaked with the old (orange) NHL shield on it. He expressed some concern about the old NHL shield not blending in with every team's colors.
Got me thinking about this topic again, anyone heard who the Flames jersey ad is going to be? Hopefully Scotiabank since their colors can blend in with the Flames uniforms.

Didn’t see the video but I loved the look of the old shield on the Canucks leaked jersey. I hope the Flames do a pedestal with that logo on it.

Fine with all those too. I hope it's a company with a red/white logo.
