Oil played over their heads the past month or so. When the games get tight in the playoffs they will struggle. Terrible defense, and shoddy goaltending. Surprised to see so many picking the Oil in this series. Kings in 6. E=NG!

Did the same thing. I'm surprised at everyone thinking this is an easy oil win.
Like Winnipeg and Chicago all LA need to do is play tight on McDavid and Drai and Oilers defence/goaltending will do the rest.
There is pretty good value for LA on the betting sites.

I dont know, the Kings are playing smart, intense hockey as a very united group. I dont know if Edmonton can McLuck their way through that.

LA in four, but every game is a barn burner. This is Edmonton's "window". They won't have Kane next year and the cap is not their friend.
LA is just good enough to pull it off.

LA teaches the gresers what team play is about. After game 1 McDingleballs starts trying to do it all himself and tries to carry into the o zone himself and loses possession creating multiple odd man rushes the other way. After they're eliminated we'll says McDingus' pout face and he won't shake hands.

They’re the favorites in this series, and it seems pretty universal. Browse around some of your favorite websites and read the odds and series previews to help garner a breakdown to explain the why.
This is a Flames forum so many won’t want to accept the supporting info, and I certainly don’t want to be defending the Oilers in here. My views aren’t based on wanting to win a popularity contest, I was merely offering my thoughts on who I feel should win is all. But then I followed with some realities of how easily the perceived favorites could be prime canon fodder.
All the best.

This is a tough one, really is.
Why I want the Oilers to lose: Because it would be the proverbial cherry on top of that abysmal sundae they call a team.
Why I want the Oilers to win(and it physically pains me to type this out): Because if Calgary and Edmonton both win their series, we get a modern day Battle of Alberta(in the playoffs), and as much as I hate the Oilers, as a hockey fan, you can't hate that prospect.

I still think that the Kings are going to beat the Oilers with structure, Smith will wear out quickly and get frustrated. As well Draisaitl and McDavid get frustrated and distracted by the King's physical play against them and start whining incessantly in their post game interviews.
The Kings centers are no joke in terms of defensive awareness. Brown is retiring after the playoffs so he's going to drain the tank completely.
Goaltending is the X factor. I'd feel better with Quick then with Smith.

As a hockey fan, I couldn't give a crap about that prospect. Oilers are by far the most undeserving team in this year's playoffs. Their record this year is all smoke & mirros and inflated by OT/SO wins, gifted PPs, multiple games against tired teams on back-to-backs with their backup goalies in net, and riding the wonder twins for 30+ minutes a night. The only reason they finished where they did is because Vegas s*** the bed.
I hope the Kings make short work of them in embarrassing fashion. Edmonton is no good.

In a pickle tonight because I've been graciously invited to a private box in Rexall to witness the first of what is hopefully a 4 game winning streak for the Kings At least I can bring my elderly father to witness his first playoff hockey game live since moving all of us to Canada over 40 yes ago.
We've been living in Edmonton for the past 3+ yrs for work reasons and it's been hilarious watching how loyal these fans are up hear. I keep telling them that if the Flames performed the way the Coilers have in the last decade, they would have had to relocate 7 years ago. Talk about a low bar of desperation here.

I so want to see a Mike Smith meltdown tonight, and then him giving his team the stinkeye like it's not his fault that he sucks.

That's not a pickle. That's a golden opportunity to record the tears and subsequent meltdown as they lose game 1 of 5.
