If you are one of those who voted for Dallas to win after the season this team has had you are either a troll or you should probably cheer for a different team going forward.

Not only voted for Dallas to win but sweep the Flames.
May be they are fans of other teams and disguise as Flames fans.
We can laugh at how terrible Dallas has been this season, but they're underachieving and shouldn't be taken lightly.
The Stars have a good first line, Benn/Seguin are good second liners, the bottom six has a couple players with the potential and ability to surprise (i.e. Gurianov, Namestnikov, and Radulov), the overall talent level of their top four D is on par with or better than the Flames' top four, and Oettinger is a good goalie that's only getting better.
The only real weakness with Dallas is their coaching...Bowness is possibly the worst HC in the NHL.
They might be a worse team than the one that made the SC finals two seasons ago, but it's not necessarily because of the talent level of the team. The Flames will still need to come out of the gate hard and play their best to win the series
I could see the Flames going on a similar run like the one in 2004 just because of the guy behind the bench. Although I would like to have Nieminen or two more on the team.
Tkachuk is our Nieminen... but with a much better scoring touch.
FWIW I'm calling Flames in 5. Would love to see a sweep though for the first time since... when?

Totally agree.
They have not been bad at all in the second half of the season. Based on the last half, they would be on pace for 5th in the conference. Not a top team, sure, but not terrible. It wouldn't be crazy for them to pull off an upset.
They have some players that really underachieved this year, but the playoffs are a different beast. Some players wither and some ramp it up. Dallas isn't a team to sleep on if guys like Seguin, Benn, and Radulov get going.
Honestly, Dallas makes me nervous and I don't think for a second that they are going to be a pushover. I still like the Flames chances, but I don't think it will be a quick or easy series.
7 games is my prediction.

Agreed. Dallas has talent and experience and a goalie not to be taken lightly. When Saros went down I was praying for Nashville to be honest.
Watch Robertson. He’s the real deal. Big, strong, fast, great hands, elite decision making. He’s going to be a top 10 player in the league for a long time, starting very soon (hopefully not these playoffs )

Dallas has 31 regulation wins, less then Vancouver and tied with Winnipeg...their season wasn't very good and was propped up by 3 on 3 and SO points. Also a -8 goal differential.
Flames shouldn't take them lightly but I don't play for the Flames, Stars are the weakest team in the playoffs...Flames better beat them
The best 'Go Flames Go' I can find on the internet to this day is AC's. Thank god for AC.
2:08ish is when it starts up. Hope the crowd is this loud to welcome Sutter back to playoff hockey at the Dome.
That brings back memories. I lucked out and bought a game pack for the 04-05 season in a “March to the playoffs” promotion and secured playoffs seats for the 03-04 playoffs.
We were in 211 row 15? Before the game, the cement under my feet was vibrating so much, I can remember people being concerned the dome was going to collapse. It always bothered me a little that they didn’t just drop the puck when the building was on fire. Instead, the anthem singer would come out and kill the energy. It felt like the crowd took a long time to get back to that level.
Also, that may be me on the horn. lol. I would take them home and tune the with fine grit sandpaper so they would really blast. You can’t just buy a horn from fanatic and expect it to work properly.

That's a good point. Three-on-three and the shootout should be considered. I think out of all playoff teams, their percentage of points due to the skills comp is probably the highest.
Depending on if you think the second half and more recent results are more important, the Stars had 9 of their 23 wins that were from 3-on-3 or the SO, which makes it even more damning. That is a crazy high proportion. The Flames had quite a few in the second half, but not that bad in comparison.
