The message is clear. You must pick up the slack on Yanet's background imaging. It's becoming repetitive.

This is awfully specific. You could have just asked, poor rabbit.

Be grateful. It could have been worse...

For real?
For real. They live just south of downtown near the elbow river and that little cat goes out every night. I can't even imagine how many rabbits it has killed in its life.

I honestly thought these city rabbits had little or no natural predators if you can call cats that. Can you train your cat to take down squirrels? They are a menace.

I found this exact same scene in my backyard in SW Calgary years ago...I always figured it was a coyote that did it, based on the comments here sounds like that was probably it. I never thought I'd see someone else talk about a pretty much identical crime scene, lol.

I don’t know. I’m not in the mafia.

But this is a message sending stunt. No doubt.

Maybe you owe someone money?

I'm still betting cat. They're the only one that would just kill it for fun and leave it. Any wild animal would have eaten it or hid it.

I'm going with a cat. Just based solely on the bites being to the back of the neck. This is typically where a cat bites (at the base of the skull). A canine is more likely to attack the the windpipe until an animal has been suffocated. Then it will start eating random bits from all over.

It also looks too haphazard to be a mafia message. More like the kind of message some psycho that you made fun of in elementary school is trying to send. Does this guy look familiar:

I find whenever I give crows food, they won't eat it until I walk away. I've only given them things like old bread though....not animal corpses.

They certainly can. I once saw a hawk pick up a hare and fly away with it.

I also once found a hare eyeball and foot in my backyard. Someone had some good eats.

My best guess would be a bobcat. They are a predatory species coming into city limits because of easy food with the abundance of hares and rabbits. The actual kill you posted, I have no idea about it, but bobcats are becoming more common in the city. And all cats are #######s, lovable, but #######s.

Yes. We saw bobcat tracks in our yard one year and when the snow melted enough for us to walk along the side of the house there was the carcass of a hare surrounding by fur and blood.
