I love all of Nico’s micro aggressions towards Lewis. “This must be so painful for him” “good for Russell up in 6th while Lewis is down in 14th”

Man it's so difficult pinning down top tens this season. Teams rebounding like McLaren and AM mucking things up

So much comes down simply to driver error or who makes the least mistakes.

Sainz must be thanking the gods he inked his new contract early because hes honestly been dismal so far.

Also have to start thinking Danny Ric is living on borrowed time at McLaren.

Bottas now just 4 pts behind HAM. George has been Mr. Consistency finishing 4 5 3 4.

Max has 59 out of 60 possible pts in the races he finished. I think he was in 2nd for both of his retirements. Gonna be a great battle - I think the 'big-game' experience for RBR+Max+Checo is going to outweigh their reliability issues in the long run, while Ferrari will have a few more unforced errors* and miss out on possible points (ie. Red Bull 'stealing' a 1st for a 14 pt swing).

*IMO Ferrari made the right strategy call today, it was just a driving error.

Lots of exciting stuff this week.

F1 chassis targets:

1) Significantly reduced drag to improve sustainability and efficiency and complement the power unit characteristics.

2) Maintain and improve on recent lessons learned about close racing and cars being able to follow each other.

3) Reduce car dimensions.

4) Reduce or contain car mass.

5) Sustainability. Continue path towards the standardisation or simplification of strategically-selected components for cost-cutting purposes. Expand the usage of sustainable materials or technologies and focus on recyclability.

6) Continued innovation in terms of car safety, moving towards active and connected safety systems.

Gen 3 Formula E car is sexy AF. Really looking forward to seeing what fast charging looks like.

Week 4 Results are finally done...yaa me. And based on these results I clearly need to work less and spend more time on F1.

Have a threesome at the top of the week which isnt surprising seeing Alonso, Sainz, Ricciardo, and Hamilton go out or be non-factors. Congrats to FurnaceFace, 3thirty, and dammage79 all get 2 slotted and 6/10.

Top 3 sees Agulati drop a spot and 3thirty move up to 3rd place. Woob continues to lead.

And with the end of week 4...we have 17 paid entries. So I'll line up a couple of those prizes as mentioned here: https://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpo...&postcount=452

Spoiler!

I suck at it every year, but at least I'm consistent. Get it together, btimbit!

Same here! Hoping to be in the mid pack by the end of the year but wouldn't count on it.

The midfield is so hard to predict. Especially this season.

And there is Verstappen having mechanical issues, Sainz not completing lap 1 or Leclerc making a mistake, messing things up even further.

Audi, Porsche to join Formula One, VW CEO says
Quote:
Diess said on Monday that Porsche's preparations for entering Fomula One were a little more concrete than Audi's.

Audi is ready to offer around 500 million euros ($556.3 million) for British luxury sports carmaker McLaren as a means to enter, a source told Reuters in March, while Porsche intends to establish a long-term partnership with racing team Red Bull starting in several years' time.
