My disgust with VGK has more than anything g to do with how they have built their team. They were ab expansion franchise with thd most favorable drat rules ever I.agined for any NHL franchise ever, and their list of drafted roster players begins and ends with Nick Hague and a bunch of nobodies. They built their team wrong despite the massive advantage of having top-five picks in their first three drafts, and now they are going to suck for a decade as a result.

Every team should be cap compiant in the post season as well. That needs to be fixed.
I can not begin to explain how happy I am Vegas missed the playoffs. There gm should be fired now.

They better not cite "injuries" as a reason for missing the playoffs this year. They specifically traded 2 healthy, productive players to get an injured Eichel.

I’ll definitely be cheering for Buffalo to have their first good year in over a decade and make the playoffs… and for Vegas to miss again. Would be hilarious. They could also produce a decent package to acquire Patrick Kane (hometown boy) and could all of a sudden look like a much better team than Vegas.
And now they have to be cap compliant - who’s going and what team will make them pay to trade away a good player? Plus they pissed off at least two roster players in the last couple months.
And I don’t want to hear about how “they lost so many players to injury this year”. They built a team that could not be fully healthy. They designed it that way. So they don’t deserve any sympathy for not having their full line up in the season.
