That play was closer then it should've been at home.

Haha no kidding. Bo kind of slowed down the last couple strides and never slid. From the one angle it looked like he almost got tagged lol

Damnit, I was 2-screening between this and the flames game all night but gave up on the blue jays in the 8th. Oh well happy with the win!

Was he anticipated to be this good?
I was lukewarm after the trade.

He was projected to be a project. He’s turning out to be. This was his first breakout moment. He grounds out mostly.

He had two very good ABs against lefties in the last two innings. Anyway I think he brings some things this lineup lacks. Mainly that he bats left, he has good speed on the bases. He has pretty good contact skills and he can play all three OF positions. (But not really that good at CF Zimmer is better there.) Zimmer is definitely a better defensive OF but his bat brings us more of something we already have too much of that being high K rate and low on base percentage. If Zimmer doesn’t get a bit more contact he’s going to have trouble getting playing time over Tapia.

I think an at-bat like that is clear evidence where Tapia brings an advantage over Grichuk.

Was just thinking that.
The odds of both things happening on the same night? Has to be 1 in…a lot

Did anyone have the Mariners leading the West?

Mariners have some underrated players like Ty France, their pitching staff is strong, and JP Crawford is an elite SS who is an incredible defender.

They won 90 games last year and if anything they added a lot to the roster this offseason and are graduating some quality young players to the big league level.
