Gurriel with a horrible decision to dive for a ball he isn't going to get to. Then he has to chase the ball into the corner. Then he throws a bullet to 3rd to throw out Brantley anyway.

To totally redeem himself!

Excellent play by Chapman.

I think that ball was getting past Gurriel even if he didn’t slide to try to catch it.

You have to keep that ball in front of you

You definitely do. I’m not sure if the ball hit off of Gurriel but it looked like the spin caused it to bounce away from him which would have made it harder to corral it had he pulled up.

Ok. Been waiting all season for him to get going. Now is your time to do something Bo.

Edit. Sigh. Not that Bo. That was an ugly AB.

But if he realizes that he isn't going to get to it and pulls up, it bounces well in front of him.

We'll never know obviously, but in the end, it worked out for the best

Bo and Springer decided they would just swing at the first 3 pitches no matter where they were I guess

You just can't be the 3rd out in the inning as often as Bo has when the best hitter in baseball bats behind you

2 more runs would've been nice.

Well crap.

Oh well, they were playing with house money, having already won the series, and having been down 5-1 earlier

Romano was kind of due for a blown save. Oh well! Series win!

Yep, kind of like when you're on a long winning streak and your last couple wins are questionable at best before you finally lose, sometimes you just know a bad result is coming. Happens to the best of them.

Like when the Flames' winning streak was snapped. I didn't like how they played a couple of games before they finally got bombed in Vancouver. I knew it was coming I just hoped it would have been to a top team so it would have been easier to swallow.

Hard to be too upset with early season results. If we're in June/July and still struggling with RISP, start to show concern then. Bullpen is just the exact opposite of what it was last year, so that's pretty awesome.
