Also The Reverend Horton Heat plays some good rockabilly, proven to get the kids moving(especially 'Bales of Cocain'). Professor Longhair is popping up in commercials, and plays a fun brand of New Orleans boogie woogie, with 'Tippitina' being one of my faves.
Beck's album 'Guerolito' has good beats. I like 'clap hands' and 'que onda guero?'
Oh, Brazillian music seems to do the trick, also. Check out Caetano Veloso, Seu Jorge, and any of the Gilberto's.

Ciara ft Missy Elliot - 1,2 Step
R Kelly - Home Alone (LOVE to dance to this song!)
Daft Punk is great
If you want to get some dirrty dancing, Next - Too Close
Disco Inferno by 50 cent is a decent one as well.
Ciara - Goodies
I personally like Dr Dre as well, if you play his stuff from the 90s.
Can't forget - California Love by Tupac and Dre.

It's ridiculous, but the song Dragostea Din Tei (The "Numa Numa" song) fills a dance floor like crazy.

Thanks for the input folks. I actually do have quite a few of the songs listed, but there are certainly some that I knew and liked, just didn't have the name and artist.
Thanks again. Keep 'em coming!

I don't know if this was a fad last year because of the movie "Walk the Line"? But any Cab or wedding dance I attended last year had lots of success with Johnny Cash.

###. Booze makes me dance - not any particular songs.
We invented The Verboten Dance in Berlin. My Freddie Mercury routine dazzled the patrons of Senor Frogs one Stampede Week.

The Chicken Dance
Comedian Russell Peters has a bit on his new album that white people have an uncontrollable urge to perform the chicken dance whenever they hear it... so true!

How about Flight of the Valkyries? Crank it and yell into the microphone "Charlie don't surf!!"

Off the top of my head:
All about U - 2Pac
"Every other city we go, every other video... no matter where I go... I see the same..."
Love dancing to that song! And the crowds usually sing in sync to it too!
Lil Jon makes a ton of good tracks also to dance to... gets the crowds a little rowdy though... "Snap Yo Fingers" is a relatively new one that's good to dance to.
Michael Jackson's a must-have, which people have already mentioned.

If you actually like that song (like me ) there is an extended version that is pretty cool.
