There's no gimmick in the playoffs.

I wouldn't be scared to play Nashville in the playoffs. They had a hard time with a team who played the night before.

And for the second game in a row they could have been penalized in OT but the ref looked away and then called a cheap too many men penalty on the Flames.

I can't believe this is your only contribution to a PGT after a great game.

3 star selection is weird. All 3 are Preds despite Bread’s 2 goal game & none of them are Saros.

Are we talking Backlund trip? I couldn't tell and my pvr had a freak out when I tried to rewind.

Copied from game thread:

Takeaway from me: flames are better than the preds. And seeing them crank up to playoff level intensity has officially wet my whistle for round 1.

Did well to fight back from 2 down on a back to back. Nashville really unimpressive for an allegedly desperate team. They got a goalie and clog the middle but generate next to nothing offensively. Got some real favours from the refs. Hope to crush them in the rematch.

Between the diving and retreating in OT the Preds have firmly established themselves in my mind as a bunch o' pansies.

That loss gave me confidence we are far superior to the Preds and they'd be an ideal playoff opponent.

Those shootout attempts were pretty suspect..

Were we letting the preds win so we can line them up in 2 weeks?

It was on Backlund so we're probably thinking of the same one. It wouldn't have annoyed me as much if they didn't call the too many men and just let the teams play.

Must be a weird feeling.
You always want to win but losing gives you a better playoff opponent vs letting Vegas potentially slip into the mix. I wonder if players think about this sort of thing.
