That was a nice shoutout to Kristen. So proud to have Tkachuk on the Flames.

edit: Nilsson did not. 131 points but 53 on the PP.
According to NHL.com's Stats page, the most ES points Orr ever had in a season was 83 in 1973–74 (which is what Johnny has now).

Oates topped out at 78 with the Bruins in 1992–93.

Her reporting on the Flames will be missed. I wish all the best with her new gig with the Calgary Stampede.

Statmuse had Orr with 116 ES points in 1970-71, the year he was +124.

But it seems you are right. He had 49 points on the PP and another 13 shorthanded. 139 points in total. Too bad because that statmuse graph is kind of cool. But just wrong I guess because their own numbers don't add up

It's kind of amazing Orr didn't have even more ES points that year considering he was +124. I wonder if the secondary assist wasn't given out like candy as it is now.

Players with at least 105 points AND +50 since 1990:

Lemieux in 1993
Forsberg in 2003
Gaudreau in 2022

End of list.

If Gaudreau gets to 110 points and +60, no players has done both since Gretzky in 87.

This is why the Flames are gonna fall flat in the playoffs, they spend too much energy winning in the regular season.
And McAvi and Pissy Leon spend too much energy trying to pad up their stats and win individual awards only to disappear in the playoffs when they do happen to make it.

Yotes are something else awful. Like biblically bad. Flames going to back into the playoffs with their baby #### soft schedule and get slaughtered at the first sign of adversity. As per tradition
I wonder if this Oiler fan ever mentioned how easy the Oilers schedule was to start the season? Nah, probably not.

It's too bad that LA's opponents are so poor that they'll be hard pressed to miss at this point, even if they coast the rest of the way.

Atleast LA is starting to have guys come back from injury. Even with all their injuries the Oilers still barely beat them.

Yeah I'm not so sure Vegas is better than LA at this point anyway, how often is Thompson gonna stand on his head?

LA has elite shut down centers and 2 good goalies, poughty aside they are getting guys back

They might actually be a tougher out than people think, I also don't think the Ducks are just going to give the Kings two easy wins though

They have had fewer back to backs themselves and far more opponents on back to backs then the Flames have had...both teams have played the same opponents over 82 games. Don't get me started on on the lowest home games in the NHL before Christmas despite another team not having a building for a month.

Flames have an unsurmountable lead despite all these things with "easy games" remaining

Flames’ win pushed the ‘Yotes’ goal differential to this…

Only the 3rd time in the last 31 years the Flames have earned 100+ points in a season.
Only the 6th time in their entire history they've done it.

It is however, the 2nd time in 4 years they've now achieved 100+ points, so I guess Treliving built a pretty decent team. Hopefully they go full Sutter in the playoffs.

Only once have the Flames ever had 110+ points (we all know what happened that year), so it'd be nice if they could do that with 7 games remaining.
