According to NHL.com's Stats page, the most ES points Orr ever had in a season was 83 in 1973–74 (which is what Johnny has now).
Oates topped out at 78 with the Bruins in 1992–93.
Statmuse had Orr with 116 ES points in 1970-71, the year he was +124.
But it seems you are right. He had 49 points on the PP and another 13 shorthanded. 139 points in total. Too bad because that statmuse graph is kind of cool. But just wrong I guess because their own numbers don't add up
It's kind of amazing Orr didn't have even more ES points that year considering he was +124. I wonder if the secondary assist wasn't given out like candy as it is now.

Tkachuk with his stick just straight up in the visor stuck in there lol no call

I wonder how you can get your stick up into the mask of an opponent, get it stuck there, and not get penalized??

Huh! Well I really don't know what to say. The first goal of the game was great! So we got that going for us which is nice.

This is embarrassing even for our standards. We’re f***ing horrible. I can’t wait until this year ends.

Opponent comes out in 1st expecting an easy win, Coyotes compete, opponent's coach reads them the riot act at 1st intermission, Coyotes get steamrolled in 2nd. Rinse and repeat night after night.

Not sure how that D-man for AZ who turned the puck over in his own zone is in the NHL. He had to have been the slooooowest skater I've ever seen. Even in beer league

Holy crap I blinked and now it's 4-1.

Lol Sateri gives up 4 goals in 3 minutes to begin the 2nd.

Yotes are something else awful. Like biblically bad. Flames going to back into the playoffs with their baby #### soft schedule and get slaughtered at the first sign of adversity. As per tradition

Flames can win 10-1 and I’m still not convinced
Literally zero adversity all year

Keep padding those stats and raising those asking prices Flames!
I cheer for every Gaudreau and Tkachuk point

This is why the Flames are gonna fall flat in the playoffs, they spend too much energy winning in the regular season.

I dislike the little hobbit as much as anyone, but I wouldn’t count on that. I guess you haven’t forgotten how he dismantled the Oilers defense in their last meeting. I’ve watched his whole career and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play as well as he’s playing right now. Smartest thing Sutter ever did was separating him from Monahan.
Quote:
I had my fantasy playoff week pretty much wrapped up before the Flames game. My opponent has three prominent Flames and is getting mega garbage points. Disgusting.
Quote:
Was that Tkachuk goal sucking in a 9-1 game?
Quote:
Ratboy and Hobbit will be asking for a combined $25M. Lucic and Monahan will have new addresses come next fall, bank on it.

Come on Kings. I don't care who we play in the first round much, but with Vegas pulling their LTIR stunt this year I would be thrilled if they were somehow to miss. Which makes me sad as historically I've actually quite liked the Golden Knights.

My daughter is 19 months old, so I've watch season 1&2 completely about 50 times. Still better than 99% of kids stuff I've had to watch.

And McAvi and Pissy Leon spend too much energy trying to pad up their stats and win individual awards only to disappear in the playoffs when they do happen to make it.

I wonder if this Oiler fan ever mentioned how easy the Oilers schedule was to start the season? Nah, probably not.
I wonder if this Oiler fan ever mentioned how easy the Oilers schedule was to start the season? Nah, probably not.
They have had fewer back to backs themselves and far more opponents on back to backs then the Flames have had...both teams have played the same opponents over 82 games. Don't get me started on on the lowest home games in the NHL before Christmas despite another team not having a building for a month.
Flames have an unsurmountable lead despite all these things with "easy games" remaining
Only the 3rd time in the last 31 years the Flames have earned 100+ points in a season.
Only the 6th time in their entire history they've done it.
It is however, the 2nd time in 4 years they've now achieved 100+ points, so I guess Treliving built a pretty decent team. Hopefully they go full Sutter in the playoffs.
Only once have the Flames ever had 110+ points (we all know what happened that year), so it'd be nice if they could do that with 7 games remaining.
