With Carolina giving up 7 goals tonight, and possibly losing Andersen long term we have a chance at the Jennings this year. We gave up one goal more, but Carolina has 4 periods of hockey at hand.

That's the team that I've been wanting to see for the past while. No, I don't expect them to win out for the year, but show us that the dominating team is still there. Very happy with the play in the 2nd.

Was watching on delay, caught up now
1st was some solid river hockey from both teams, despite being behind I was happy to see the Flames skating and creating. Of course the defensive effort was miserable though. Would be hard to forgive it if they didn’t blow it open.
Then in the 2nd Sateri decided he wasn’t interested in making saves and the Yotes defense figured they might as well take the rest of the night off. Good of the flames to run up the score. Hopefully a couple more in the 3rd, give Markstrom an easy period at least.

Yes, sir! I wasn't following the thread, I thought it was a dig at anyone posting concern early on.

I laughed out loud when they said the Oilers were rolling. They've won a couple in a row where their opponents didn't bother showing up, and got embarrassed 5-1 two games ago. What an unstoppable juggernaut!

Why did Sutter start Markstrom today? He has been playing rough the last two or three games, we clinched our spot and we're playing the absolute worst team in the conference with a day off tomorrow.
What is the point of having a backup if you don't play him here?
Vladar better play the rest of the season.

Concern is fine and all well and good. It's the over the top panic that makes me wonder how those posters deal with any sort of adversity in their own lives.

not sure if this is a joke but its not gonna happen...you expect him to take 2 and a half weeks off and then jump into game one?
Also, Flames are trying to win a division and the #2 seed with home ice against all but Colorado in the west
IMO Markstom was fine the last few games, team was garbage...Sutter said so himself, team pull not on the goalie

I'm guessing Darryl has a plan and is sticking to it.
Vladar playing the rest of the games would be probably the worst mistake Sutter could make. Ice cold starter going into the playoffs.........great way to lose the first round.

No digs. I'm just popping in and out of the thread myself. Wish I'd caught that period though.

We still have the division to clinch, and Markstrom has been fine. It's the team in front of him who have left him hung out to dry.
Honestly, people need to quit bitching about how much Markstrom is playing. Pretty sure the 2x Cup winning coach knows what he's doing in regards to his goaltenders.
