It's actually 10 minutes shorter to fly to Nashville from Calgary compared to Dallas according to Googlemaps.

LA are the easiest match up. Dallas are the second easiest. I would want nothing to do with Nashville or Vegas as a top seed. Nashville has a goalie and Vegas will be playing with 50% more cap space.

Don't care. You have to beat at least 3 very good teams to win the big prize, if it has to be 4 so be it.

Darryl mentioned unfinished business. I feel they have that with Dallas, and with Colorado for that matter. I suppose they also have that with Vegas having not won in that building yet. That would be quite the road to the Cup wouldn't it.

For selfish reasons , hoping for Nashville.
Would be in a suite, at games 3, 4 and 6(if necessary).

loved my first recent visit to Nashville and the arena (although was easy to do so as I could benignly cheer for the Preds against the Flyers). the direct West jet flight also great
but then there is Saros and Josi- oh well every playoff team has good players

Not VGK, that's for sure. Although they are weaker this year, they are playoff-tested and know what it takes. I can definitely see them upping their game come playoff time. I think Flames/LA would be a good matchup. Sutter would love nothing more than to beat up on his old team. They will be without Doughty. It would be a good physical matchup.

Best to Worst - LAK - They have been a bit banged up, and will be missing Doughty. They are mostly younger and less experienced in my eyes.
- NSH - The Flames mostly have close games against them, but I think that Calgary will have an easier time shutting them down. The play of Josi and Saros will be huge factors for Nashville.
- DAL - They're getting older, full of vets, but they keep getting timely scoring against us. I think they have perfected deflection and rebound goals against the Flames, which will be tough to deal with in the playoffs. For any other team I would pick DAL as the best opponent, but Benn, Seguin and Pavelski have had our number for a while.
- VGK - Assuming they get everyone back from LTIR for the first round they will be a very tough opponent. The Knights have the experience and the depth to be a power house in the playoffs. In addition, they somehow got the Honda Center curse in their building as well. They might be a bit rusty in the first round, but I prefer them facing Colorado in the first round.

I think LA and Dallas are winnable.
I have concerns over Nashville and Vegas.

It will be Nashville. And I'm lukewarm on that but I think we have the edge in scoring and if the top line plays like it can, it won't matter much how good Saros is.
Also Markstrom is in the top 6 for goalies and Saros isn't so objectively should we be the ones trembling about goaltending or should Nashville?
