The Sharks are in an ugly mood - losers of 5 straight. Canucks up 1 - 0

Canucks really going for the hail mary. Pretty valiant push.

But in the end I think they're 2-4 points short.

Avs with 3 posts in this period, and have completely taken over in these last few minutes. Edmonton with gigantic horseshoes up their butts in this game. Why do the hockey gods hate us?

Why does Draisaitl get free reign to make hits before the opposition touches the puck?

Don't forget all the whining Debrusk is doing about non calls. My ears are bleeding.

Oilers had the better territorial advantage in the 1st period, but the Avs had the better scoring chances. One thing about this game, the Oilers are exploiting all the Avs weaknesses and showing they aren't nearly as invincible as some would have you believe. Really good game and a pace that is hard to match.

Also nice to see Sportsnet skewing the stats for their darlings. They had the scoring chances at 8-6 for Edm. Natural Statrick has it at 13-7 for the Av's.

Connor was invisible. Pretty clear to see that Draisaitl does more for the team in high pressure situations. Must suck to be overshadowed by that scruffy hobo.

Avs also played last night and are missing their 2nd leading scorer...not to mention not much to play for

You know, it's okay to give other teams credit when they are playing well. Oilers are playing well. They still suck, have a different set if rules working for them, but they are playing well.

The Sharks Canucks is a good game so far. The shots are 15-15 and the score is 1-1 after twenty minutes. Dickinson for the Canucks on a 2 on 1 rush and Hertl on a two man advantage.
