Wouldn't want to see him tired out but would love to see Sutter give him more PP time at least, Gaudreau ranks 55th in PP time, nobody can tell me he wouldn't be right with or even past the two dorks up north with 65-75 more PP minutes played.

Had Lindholm's finishing been what it is right now in December and January he'd be inline for 50 goals.
I think the 107 points that Guy Chouinard put up in 78-79 is the second highest total in Franchise history after Nilsson's freak season. Looking forward to seeing Gaudreau eclipse that total. I think Fleury in 93 is the last Flame to hit the Century mark so that's almost 30 years ago now.

Okay so this stat got me curious, is it common or rare for a team to go that long without a 100 point scorer? So I checked, and here's the last time each team had a player put up 100 points in a season
2021-22
Edmonton, McDavid & Draisaitl
Florida, Huberdau, the first ever 100 point season for the Panthers
2018-19
Boston, Marchand
Chicago, Kane
Pittsburgh, Crosby
Tampa, Kucherov
2017-18
Philadelphia, Giroux
2010-11
Vancouver, Daniel Sedin
2009-10
Washington, Bäckström
2006-07
Colorado, Sakic
Ottawa, Heatley
San Jose, Thornton
2005-06
NYR, Jagr
Carolina, Eric Staal
1998-99
Anaheim, Selänne & Kariya
1995-96
Detroit, Fedorov
1993-94
Toronto, Gilmour
St.Louis, Shanahan
Kings, Gretzky
1992-93
Calgary, Fleury
NYI, Turgeon
Winnipeg, Selänne
Buffalo, LaFontaine & Mogilny
1986-87
Dallas, Ciccarelli
1985-86
Montreal, Näslund
And the following teams have never had a 100+ point scorer:
Columbus, New Jersey, Minnesota, Nashville, Coyotes, Vegas, Seattle.
In short, it's been 10+ years for most teams, 20+ years for more than half the teams and some teams have never had one.
Btw, can't believe I've missed this, but Roman Josi is on pace for 102 points, which would make him the 6th defenseman ever to break 100 points in a season, and the first one since Brian Leetch in 1991-92.

Wouldn't Selanne in 93 count as theirs? And the Jets/Thrashers franchise has never had one.

Another fun stat - led by Joe Sakic’s 54 goals and 118 points, the 2000-01 Avalanche are the last team to win the Stanley Cup and have a 50 goal scorer in the same year.
In the cap era, a 50g scorer has only made it to the Cup Final once - Dany Heatley in 2007, and if you didn’t already know that, there’s no way that would have been your guess.
In conclusion: once again, it is not the Maple Leafs’ year.

Johnny now at 101 and counting. I’m so glad I finally got to see a Flames hit 100+ points in a season (Iggy got so close though). Tkachuk now needs 8 more points in these last 9 games for 100. I really hope we can keep both Chucky and Johnny together beyond this season

Yep. I will make sure Calgary's presence is felt in Nashville.

McDavid 2018 holds the active player record for even strength points in a season 84. Can Johnny find 6 in there next 9 games?

Massive kudos to Johnny for the remarkable season and his milestone night. It honestly wasn’t that long ago that CP was ready to boot Johnny right out of town. The thousands of trade proposals and rumors, the endless criticism, the picking apart of every facet of his game from the “he’s too small, timid, weak, blah blah blah,” to his workout regiment or the bad diet talk and the the “he’s lost a step” or been “figured out” bologna.
I’m glad he’s never felt vindictive to the fans or reporters like other athletes of the world. I just hope he remembers this night when he’s trying to decide where he wants to spend the rest of his career. It was a real special night for him and his family to partake and I hope this was the kind of night that keeps him from looking elsewhere. This team and franchise needs him.

Quite an achievement by Johnny, so steady and consistent. It’s been 30 years since Theo did it. Big deal to do this in the NHL, lucky to have him here.
