If winning the division is the ultimate goal here, then yes, beating this team tonight, and really, the other 2 remaining teams on this trip, should be a pre-requisite without a doubt.
The Flames are quite simply way better than each of the next 3 teams they will face and should win each of theses games. It's a high bar, but that's the nature of the beast when you're having the season they're having. If it ends up being 5/6 or 4/6 points wise, fair enough. But it certainly matters where the wins come from at this point in the year and you don't want to be dropping games against inferior opponents very often with a very heavy schedule the rest of the way.
It's a four game road trip, all against their division, all teams below them in the standings with a back to back.
Division winners don't go 82-0.
Just get 6 points, don't care where they come from.
Arguably the only "important" game on this trip was the LA one because they could have caught them (still can)

I'd like to see Mackay draw in for one of these games if OK can't go. Stone has been...meh. Some decent plays and some not so decent. Few games coming up against teams that are playing out the string, would be a good time to see how he performs on the big stage and give him a taste.
My kid had the Flu and was in bed for a week last week
Just seems odd that he'd go through all of that, make it to line rushes (except for today) and say nope. If he had the flu that bad, why not keep him away from the team or at least let him rest. Instead it looks like he's seeing if he can go on the heels of an injury.
