Most underrated comment.
Took me awhile.

Too soon for the Flames to shake his hand after the game tomorrow?

I like stuff like that.

Of course he announces this the day before the Ducks play the Flames so the whole team will come out fired up to win it for him.

He looked pretty awkward for a few seasons when he didn't want to admit to going bald, but he looks fine with the fully shaved head. He should give Matthews some counselling

Career earnings of over $95M. Yeah, things worked out pretty well for him...

Apparently Darryl was gonna take Mike Richards if Dion was gone.

But yeah, that one stings. Ramholt over Shea Weber, too… probably would’ve done that The other way if Richards was the pick.

I wonder if Ryan might join brother Chris as a financial planner in, I believe, Regina.

Highly doubt he wants to move back to Regina after living in the OC for 17 years.

Step 1: Make 95million USD in your first 18 years in the workforce
Step 2: Ensure you qualify for full pension by 36 years old
Step 3: Rest on your laurels and use your fame and reputation to make easy money with appearances and advertisements!

Do it the Getzlaf way and you'll be okay!

All jokes aside, fantastic career. One of few players who could take over a game on his own in many different fashions.

Remember seeing him play for the Hitmen. Now he's retiring. Well, that makes me feel old.

Great player. Great career.

Still remember going to a game of the Hitmen and Rebels. Getzlaf and Phaneuf were basically playing their own game against each other. They were on another level compared to the others on the ice.

I mean I like having most of my hair still at middle age but I would gladly take on the bald look in a trade of careers.
