Freddy played 9 with Tiger today....

"He's kind of a tough guy," Couples said. "He's never going to let you know he's in pain. He looked good walking. You can always be in pain, but to hit it like that, now it's just the walking part. If he can walk around here for 72 holes, he'll contend. He's too good."
Barring a setback over the next couple of days, Couples, one of Woods' closest friends, believes Woods will play when the 86th Masters begins on Thursday.
"I hope everything keeps going Tuesday and Wednesday, and I'm sure he's going to tee it up Thursday," Couples said

Of course Hideki brings the A5.
That looks delish.

If you're not getting a little excited at the prospect (however slim) of Tiger Woods contending at the Masters, check yourself for a pulse.

I'm honestly not excited about him participating because he undoubtedly will overwhelm the coverage and I don't think he will be in contention.

He overwhelms the coverage when he's not playing.
At least it will be live coverage and not replays from 1997.

The prospect of Tiger in contention doesn't have you interested? If he isn't, he isn't. The golf won't change, no matter what the coverage is like.

It doesn't. I've never been a huge Tiger fan so him alone doesn't increase my level of interest or excitement. I just want to see competitive golf and a good battle in the final round regardless of who the players are.

I hear you, I’m not that big a Tiger fan either. But I am a big golf nut and his greatness is undeniable.

The Master's are about more then competing when you are a champion. He is there with his son.
Time will tell but I don't think competing at a high level is anywhere on Tiger's mind. I think training his son is now his #1 priority.

How's that working out for ya?

What an exciting turn of events. His chances of competing for a win this week are slim, but just seeing him out there will be amazing.

Mike Weir and Mackenzie Hughes both win the par 3 contest, tied at -4. Play was suspended due to weather.

Tiger is in group F in my golf pool, I kinda have to pick him but really doubt he's going to finish all 4 rounds.

Unbelievable.

Entering the week, the betting action on the odds to win the Masters at Caesars Sportsbook was very evenly distributed between Woods and two top-tier contenders, Justin Thomas and Scottie Scheffler.
Only 16 bets separated Thomas, Scheffler and Woods as of Tuesday afternoon at Caesars. By Wednesday, the gap had widened significantly after Woods said a day earlier that he was planning to tee it up this week at Augusta National.
"Woods is now ahead of everyone by over 1,000 tickets," Max Meyer, spokesperson for Caesars Sportsbook, told ESPN.
The Masters will mark Woods' first professional tournament since suffering serious injuries in a February 2021 car crash. The five-time Masters winner is 40-1 to win the tournament at Caesars Sportsbook.
At sportsbook PointsBet, Woods has attracted over three times more bets -- and more than double the money wagered -- than any other golfer. The sportsbook's liability on Woods winning was seven times greater than any other player as of Wednesday morning.
"Tiger winning the Masters would be the worst result for us at any golf tournament since we started operating in the U.S. by far," said Jay Croucher, head of trading for PointsBet
