Put me down in the Caddy Tek fan club. I had the 3 wheeled version last year and switched to the 4 wheels this year due to minor rubbing with my bag and the front wheel on the 3 wheeled version. It's been great both last season and this. No issues, the attached bags are nice to have and fit a few pops in easly. To me it was worth it for the savings

Clicgear beats out the Caddytek based on quality, but for the price, Caddy Tek can't be beat. Sure the clic is "only" $100 or so more, but that is for the base model; Caddy basically comes with $250 of "options" you have to buy separately on the Clic Gear to kit it out.
Only thing the Caddy Tek doesn't offer that I added was a suicide knob for 1 handed steering. Clic offers one (so it wins there) but I just added a bolt on one manually and got the same function for 1/3 the price of Clic's

I don't understand, how do you guys golf without carts with friends, is it just my freinds?? This is my second year with membership without a cart pass as I want to walk as much as possible for the exercise.
I golf with a group of 20-25-ish friends just grabbing whoever is good each round to make a foursome and I rarely golf with anyone that is willing to play without cart. Maybe just too many drinkers lol?

I think I spent $1100+ on cart fees last year when the cart pass was like $700, haha.

I only cart when it’s a “drinking round” and those aren’t all that often. Friday night. Saturday afternoon.

Maybe that's the problem. We're mostly Friday - Sunday golfers and a decent amount of drinks is pretty much automatic for most rounds.
It feels so good to finish 18 holes walking with less than 3 beers. I'd love to do that more often. Would probably help if I didn't secure rides to most rounds lol.

Most of the guys I play with walk and have push carts. That said it can be tough keeping up if your golfers are all on carts. Mind you they're great for catching a ride to your vehicle after the round is over.
If I do cart, quite often it's during mens league on Tuesday nights. Guys in my league all love their beers and the 19th hole afterwards.

I only cart when it is really hot out or if it is a course with hills/in the mountains/I’m on a golf trip. I usually do one heavy drinking round a year, but even for that I don’t mind walking.
I’m also lucky in that all of my friends that I play with prefer to walk like I do.

Has anyone heard or seen anything re: the Banff Springs offering any specials this year?
There was no golf show so not sure if they are offering a similar deal with a code like the last couple of seasons?

Banff Springs hasn't opened their tee time booking portal yet for some reason which is why the show special hasn't been released (assuming it happens again this year.)

Thanks for the recommendation.
Couldn't get onto Firecliff, but we played the mountain view track today and it was outstanding.

Can anybody recommend a decent home golf ball cleaner? My 11 year old son roamed the woods around the Glencoe last fall and gathered over two full 5 Gallon pails full of balls. He wants to clean them and if he has enough good ones, try to sell for a little extra cash.

i never have any luck posting images, but if i could i would involve a scrub brush and some dawn dish liquid.
How about the washing machine on a no spin cycle? otherwise, you are likely looking at doing them by hand somehow as i had a look at amazon and there does not seem to be something made to clean pails of golf balls easily and cheeply

Have you got a pressure washer? I had a bunch and put them in a crate and hammered them with that one year. It wasn’t perfect, but it got a lot of the worst off, and the rest you could towel off pretty quick and easy. Depends on whether they’re worth it though!

It's the Glencoe!
I doubt they are Top Flite XL 2000s.

I use Dawn dish soap and a bucket of warm water. Allow the balls to soak for 30 minutes and use a cheap rechargable Oral B electric toothbrush to get any stains off the balls. You can get the Oral B for under $30 that comes with one replacement brush.
I know it sounds crazy using a electric tooth brush but it does the job.

I was informed today that they are bringing back the "show" deal ($99 plus cart). They finalized it internally a couple of days ago (apparently there was some debate about doing it one more year with most restrictions gone) and emails with the code should go out next week. I'll post it here when I get it for those that aren't on the email list.

Played Speargrass on Thursday with a couple of buddies. The weather was perfect with just a small breeze. Course was in great shape for this time of year.
The guy in the picture is a neighbour of mine who is 84 years old. He also walks the course where we are members.
Finished the day with some wings from Knee Deep in High River.

I'm assuming they haven't had a chance to do anything about hole 18 sliding down the cliff yet? Is there still a big crack down the fairway or have they contoured the fairway to deal with that?
