The Oilers definitely aren't a joke. Their top 6 forward group is among the most dangerous in the league. But their recent run isn't quite as impressive as some are making it out to be.
Their top six is very good but their bottom six is still very bad, hence playing Archibald a player who can only play home games and hasn’t played all year. Their defence is below average at best with their top prospects having difficulty with breaking into a bad lineup. They likely have the worst goaltending in the league and definitely the worst among playoff teams… with Toronto being the only potential exception.

Sure, but that's all they really have, and top 6's get punished in the playoffs. We saw what happened to the Oilers top 6 in the playoffs, they get frustrated pissy and vanish.

The Wild are now the hottest team as they defeated the Capitals 5-1. Minnesota is 9-0-1 in their past 10 games. Talbot was in net and made 25 saves for the win. Eriksson Ek had 3 points. Ovechkin had an assist on the Capitals only goal.
The Flyers can thank their goalie Martin Jones for helping beat the Rangers in the SO. He made 43 saves. The Flyers had a 3-0 lead early in the third period but, the Rangers struck back to tie it.
The Canucks slow start cost them as the Knights took a 2-0 lead in the 1st period. The Canucks did tie it at 2-2 in the 3rd period, but, could not take a lead and the Knights went on to win it in OT. Lehner was in net for the Knights.
If Calgary goes 6-6-1 the rest of the way:
LAK need to go 9-1-0
EDM need to go 9-2-1
VGS need to go 11-0-0
Yabbut…
If Calgary goes –1-14-0 the rest of the way, Edmonton only needs to go 2-10-0!
All that needs to happen is for the refs to review tonight's video and rescind the win on the ice!

‘You see in Calgary, [Ryan] Huska is no joke. It’s good. He’s really set on a specific model defensively. If you can be reliable, you have the freedom to play offence.’

No silly, Oilers going to lose the rest of the way and miss the playoff. You should stop drinking those water, it diminish you have left. Not much but still.
