You can worry if you want...Flames lost 3 on goal games that could have gone either way and are the best team in the NHL since the ASB. Did you expect them to win every game

The worry is not from the fact that they lost 3 games.
The worry is from the mental mistakes we've been seeing from these guys lately, mistakes that they haven't been making for most of the year. They look like they're getting tired and wearing down. I use '18-'19 as a comparable because the team looked unstoppable for the first half to 2/3s of the season, then fizzled down the stretch and looked outclassed by Colorado from game 2 onward. Another comparable is 2006, where the team clearly ran out of gas in the final 2 games of that series vs Anaheim.
Darryl is a superb coach, probably the greatest of all time when it comes to getting the most out of his players. But he's got to realize that his players are not cyborgs or robots, they're humans. Now that Monahan is on LTIR, and roster limits are gone, maybe it's time to call up some guys from Stockton and give some games off to key players on this team. Lindy, for example, has looked nothing like his usual self in recent games. Eatbread has really cooled off and hasn't looked threatening lately. Chucky also seems to be fighting it out there from time to time. Toffoli looked lost out there on the goahead goal tonight. Not Hanafin's best night either.
I do also worry that fatigue is setting in for Marky, and his level of play is slipping as a result. Hopefully we see Vladar get a decent number of starts in April.

Or they realize that all teams have ups and downs and that tonight the flames were the better team but came out with a loss.
Personally I’d rather they have a bit of a PDO slump now than in a month in round one.

Pretty much every time a player is out with the Flu it has spread through the team and many are battling it, which we usually find out a week or two later. I know we're on suicide alert right now, but that angle wouldn't surprise me at all.
One player getting the flu and no others just doesn't really happen.

I wouldn't give him the next three games but this is what I would do:
April 6 @ Ducks
April 9 @ Seattle
April 12 vs Seattle
April 16 vs Arizona
April 18 @ Chicago
April 23 vs Vancouver
April 29 @ Winnipeg
If playoff positioning was already settled I might give him the 28th against the Wild too.

They're down to just 12 healthy forwards if Ritchie is out... someone's coming up.
Sitting Lindholm is a ridiculous idea though.

The only game I can see him sitting out is the last game of the season if it's a nothing game to avoid injury. Other than that Sutter isn't sitting him or any top player.

We’d all rather they slump now than in the playoffs but 18-19 we did the same thing, “it’s no big deal they’re just saving it for playoffs”

Honestly the special teams have gone cold as day. the team looks fine 5 on 5 for the vast majority of games but in the last week or so they've been getting slayed in the PK and PP stats. Sort it out boys.

Teams in a slump.
It happens.
I'm glad it's now.
There is runway left to resolve their issues and recoup their confidence.
Desperately need to get on the road. Sitting around for most of the last couple months has led to probably a mixture of distraction & complacency.
They were playing much better when they were in the thick of that non stop stretch with no rest days. Rest days and no travel have bred poor habits.
Probably a good time to step away and focus on other things while the team figures it out, for your sanities.
Plug in again closer to playoff time. It might be frustrating for another couple games before they find their legs again.
Stay calm and trust in Sutter

Nothing that can't change if the Flames erase their history and deal with the adversity.

If you aren’t at the ledge, it’s because you jumped long ago.
Or I’m guessing you were pushed?

0-2-1 in one goal losses to very good teams isn’t much of a slump guys, lol. Now if they struggle on this road trip and only come back with 1-3 points from it maybe it’s time to start getting worried.

It's a long season and these slumps happen, Carolina lost to Minnesota yesterday. It's actually surprising the Flames have gone all season without any significant losing streaks, I was expecting one or two along the way. Plus the last loss we still got a point.
Games are and have been getting tougher as the season winds down and the Flames have already achieved making the playoffs. They'll figure it out.
