Flames outplayed the Blues tonight and lost. It happens.
People in this thread acting like the season is over are ridiculous.

This right here, games are starting to get tight and Flames are looking way to sloppy. Starting to think if they are battling fatigue. Just don’t want to see a repeat of 2019 and choke once again.

People have no need to be upset. My department was mild.
Anyone who i is claiming to not be at least a bit worried is lying

Nothing that can't change if the Flames erase their history and deal with the adversity.

It's your holier than thou attitude you display after a loss. Only to post when they lose.

Trying posting something positive next time they win...maybe take a look at your post history and see if it matches a fan of a first place team

Is Markstrom not expected to be better than the other goalie and occasionally steal us a game? Because he's done that maybe once or twice this entire season. He needs to step up.
We sure ride our forwards hard when they aren't difference makers, but Markstrom always gets a pass.

Am I seeing something different with Coleman right now than others?
To me he looks incredibly ineffective in the offensive end.
I understand he is characterized as a defense first player but I was expecting a bit more offensive upside that what I am seeing for the last 8-10 games.

I believe the frustration right now is warranted. The Flames have not play well these past two weeks (outside of the Oilers game).
Of course the Flames cannot be 'on' 110% for the whole season, but now this rut has been extending a little too long. Time to wake up Flames and get desperate.

Something is off with Chucky too...his passing in particular and his positioning.

Mangi fed Toffoli for an empty net onetimer that Toffoli missed, I don't recall others of a similar fashion that Husso had to make a miraculous save on. We didn't have the same types of high danger chances that we allowed all game IMO.

The third goal would have been a highlight reel save, but the first two goals and the fourth goal, he's got to have one of those three. I don't think that's too much to expect.

He did his part given the number of high quality shots he faced. He also made one late in the game to give the Flames a chance.
I would argue he's the teams MVP.

Adversity isn’t a bad thing…better to get the adversity now and clean stuff up so that we are really prepared for the playoffs.

I thought they played great against Colorado, and were quite dominant tonight for long stretches. The effort is there. They're just making bad mental mistakes right now that they weren't making a week ago.
I'm confident that they'll get it figured out soon. Just gotta have a strong effort on Monday, get 2 points, and go from there.
