WB doing some shuffling around of their DC movies which isn't great. Changes include:

Black Adam pushed to Oct 21
Flash pushed to June 23, 2023
Aquaman 2 pushed to March 17 2023
Shazam 2 bumped up to December 16 2022.

Shazam 2 is now going up against Avatar 2 yikes. Hopefully the movie can still find an audience, I don't think WB is putting it in a position to succeed.

I think that the Avatars are going to bomb. It's been too long and the original doesn't stand up to re-watch. The sad part is that it took psychopath James Cameron out of making other movies for a decade, and he is actually a very skilled filmmaker.

Shazam going up against Avatar could be beneficial. I don't see Shazam as a constant sellout type movie. The first one made $140 million. They could actually see a bump from the Avatar overflow.

Do movies sell out anymore?

Doesn’t every massive open have effectively unlimited screens so anyone who wants to see it can?

I don't understand the delays. Is there a specific reason?

No Way Home showed us that covid be damned good movies will fill theatres. Dr. Strange 2 is about to show us the same thing again. Why keep bumping things back?

Well WB is pretty notorious for clueless executives calling the shots and focus grouping things to death, maybe they want a bunch of reshoots

I just got home from Morbius and all I can say is woof not a good movie at all. Poor CGI, non sense plot, characters that have no motivation, and a rushed ending. If I could compare it to other superhero movies it felt like a mix between Catwoman and Fan4stic. Also the post credit scenes made no sense at all. Maybe others will enjoy it more than me, but yea not great.

Yeah it's like a 16% on RT.

Bad comedies that go straight to streaming have better scores.

Sony is so junk at running their own universes. They think they're pumping out quality like MCU but they're not even close. Venom has already waned and it wasn't great to begin with.

They either need to hire different/better talent for future spiderverse titles or have the people at Marvel Studios baby step them through the process. Otherwise they're going to wreck more beloved characters (which thankfully Morbius wasn't).

If NadalFan didnt like it then this movie must be 'out of this world' awful.

A comic book movie NadalFan didnt like? Surely such an animal cannot exist!

Wasn't this movie supposed to be out last year but due to covid it got pushed to this week? If so that is no good. Sony needs to really reconsider the Spider-Man universe they are trying to create. I hope Kraven doesn't turn out to be a turd like this sounds.

It would be shocking if this was a DC movie and he didn't like it.

It just seemed like a bad idea from the get go. How many people had to Google who Morbius was in the first place?

There's zero appeal, then you go out and make a terrible movie? You deserve to crash and burn.

At least Venom had a bit of appeal with Tom Hardy and a fairly well known villain. Add in some comedy/banter and it's a decently underrated couple of movies.

What does morbius have going for it exactly.

You know in The Dark Knight when Alfred says know your limits? Yesterday I found out what my limits were

I will say Jared Leto does his best in the role and I liked him in the movie. The CGI used for him wasn't very good tho. The first bit of the movie is fine but the last act is so rushed and it just ends. I honestly was so confused it seemed like they were setting up another act and then it was over. How could a movie that's been pushed back for 2 years feel so rushed.
Plus the end credit scenes were so so bad.

The only posssible interest I would have in a Morbius film would be if it went really deep into the dark side of being a vampire. Sony made the decision to go PG-13 with this one, so unless you have a spectacular story, it's almost certainly going to suck. Not sure how you can make a PG-13 movie about a villain and expect it to be any good. Same problem with Venom.

The only other possible way to save it would be to go super-stylistic and make a Burton-esque totally surreal movie.

The only good "villain" movies we've had so far are the Deadpool movies and possibly the Suicide Squad. Those are all rated R.

First episode of Moon Knight was really well done. Very entertaining and I love the way they worked towards the ending of the episode.

Oscar Isaac is so talented.

Morbius was astonishingly bad, but it's probably the best time I've had laughing at a movie in a theatre since Cats.

To be fair, I'm questioning the judgement of ANYONE seeing Morbius. Not just in the theatre, but like, at all. Pay for it, Scene points, streamed, pirated, re-enacted in a high school musical, whatever. Why waste your time? What about the concept or trailer or cast or anything made you go, "yes"?

This is coming from a guy who watched the 90's Spider-Man cartoon every Saturday morning growing up. If I have zero interest in Morbius, I don't understand who does.
