This is an exciting day! I was born a few months after our last World Cup, and I’m such a mutt when it comes to my heritage that I don’t have any other international team that I support, so this is the first time I’ve gone through this.
Haha. Most of us are mutts by now, when it comes to our heritage.
I am super excited by this draw, which is a first time for me also.

Would like a Brazil because soccer and non soccer fans tune into Brazil, and the extra eyes and recognition world wide Canada would get from that would be awesome, no matter what the result.
A team like England and Argentina (Messi) / Portugal (Ronaldo) you could say the same to a lesser extent.
Don't want a power specifically like Germany because we will be methodically dismantled.
1)Score a goal
2)Win a game
3)Somehow advance out of the group
If 1 occurs, satisfied. Thrilled if 2 happens. Unbelievable if 3 happens.
This is the most realistic post here. I get that everyone's excited right now but expectations should be tempered. I see posts saying the top teams would be afraid to be drawn against Canada and I don't think that's true at all. They're absolute newcomers who have shown they are capable of losing to Costa Rica and Panama. I'd imagine most top teams will be hoping to get Canada in their group. Without obviously knowing the groups yet, I think they'd be lucky to finish with one point (unless they get Qatar in their group)

I think unless Canada draws into Group A whichever group they're a part of will be considered the Group of Death... Yeah Canada got beat by Costa Rica and Panama but they also beat Mexico and the United States.
But ultimately I agree... other teams won't be afraid of facing Canada but they won't be a pushovers and other teams will have to work harder then they would had they drawn anyone else from the pod.
So for those who have never seen the draw, it officially starts at 10am. But there will be intros, speeches by FIFA President and Qatar Organizing Committee. Then official ball, official mascot, official song, dancing and guests. So it probably really starts at 10:30.

So basically trade deadline day where they fill airtime with junk.

Any radio stations or online coverage of the draw? Was going to work from home today but my laptop stopped working.
The TSN radio network has it live at 1000 MT. Of course, we don't have a local TSN radio station, but you could stream it from another city with your phone or something.

I actually remembered I could login to my tsn account and watch there!
