Nope; we was 1.5-2.0 seconds back, and even closed up to ~1.2 just before there was even a yellow flag.

DRS to pass? Kinda solves a lot of problems with the current system. Especially with the battle for the lead like we saw in Jeddah.

I think the DRS issue might be overblown. Red Bull was running less downforce then Ferrari, so they were already faster on the straights. DRS on the RBs looked more powerful then Ferrari because of this.

I’m too lazy to link it but apparently some of the drivers said without DRS passing would be impossible. Or something to that effect.

DRS passes have always sucked, though.

Alright...Rd 2 results are in!
Two familiar names tied for the top spot this week as 3thirty and Agulati both got 29pts, 5 corrects slots, and 8/10 drivers. It was a much better week, glad my pep talk worked for most of you, but not me.
Woob jumps in to top spot overall, 2pts ahead of 3thirty and 3pts ahead of Agulati.
Next race is Australia in 2 weeks! And F1 finally updated their schedule so you can sync calendar

It's too bad he made so many bad choices in F1 after his initial stint with Williams.
Latifi and Stroll aren't even fit to valet park for him.

JV is a tool. He’s got hot take after hot take and 99% of the time they’re utterly moronic. He regularly makes an ass out of himself for the embarrassing things he says. But he’s kind of like Francis in that way. He takes great pride in saying the most outlandish, dumbest thing possible for attention. He’s really bought into the F1 soap opera that the media overseas perpetuates.

Yup. I liked him when I was a kid but not anymore. Though I did like his “you crashed” comment

That should be really cool. Out of curiosity, and maybe it's not known yet, but is this three races in America now? Or is either Austin or Miami out to make way for Vegas?

That Vegas race will be terrible and I'm honestly surprised that the city/county council and casinos would be on board with this. It seems crazy that they would want to shut down and disrupt the strip for a race like this. It looks like a really boring track layout.

Pretty crazy to go from once race to three in one country in a matter of two years. Made even more hilarious by the fact that said country has zero F1 drivers in the league.

I don’t see anything wrong with that track. The issue will be the stratospheric ticket prices.
Some of the best tracks are simple. It’s no worse than the red bull ring, Monza, old hockenheim, even Canada.
Heard the timing could be weird. Rumour I heard was around US thanksgiving, which puts it up against the nfl and rivalry week in college football.
I also could totally see a Saturday night race, since that puts it early Sunday morning in Europe. Sunday night means nobody in Europe watches because it would be on early Monday.

I see it’s been announced already it is Saturday night. And it will be in the last two weeks of November.
