Just keep sending those 2 over the boards hoping for a different result. Einstein must have been visioning the Oil when he came up with the definition of insanity.
I'm guessing it must have been Hartley

Also want to echo the sentiments about Backlund.

On the 50th anniversary commemoration of the franchise as a whole it's fitting that the organization's longest tenured player channeled one
of the best games of his career.

Again, I'm projecting but it looks like the team has some animosity against Smith and I'm comfortable accepting that as the truth.

Chucky definitely did when he scored the first one on Smith.

From Bingos Game Takes:

That's what you want from your shutdown center. Limit their chances, try to suppress the damage they can do. To do it against the "top" two offensive players in the league is somewhat elite.

That in itself is exactly what this team pays him for. So important.

But wait.

Scores two, assists on another, takes eight shots on goal, has 3 takeaways, finishes a +3 with the most ice among Flames forwards.

What a game.

That dive Backs did to block the oiler and free up the puck for Dube, who would have thought of that!

Edmonton and all its numpty fan base need to learn it's not the NBA where you can have a superstar or 2 and win a title. Hockey's a 6 man game full stop.

Like I can't believe Edmonton ownership have zero clue how to properly build around McDummy and Draisaitl.

Yeah but it was his rookie year and only about 5 games into the season, after an unproductive start. He was scratched a season or two later when he, Monahan and Bouma were hung over and late for practice.

Luckily the league enforces the concussion protocol to really protect the player in violent cases like this.

If Johnny gets 2 points on Tues, it will bring his career NHL points to exactly a point per game.

I think Bieksa is the best of the bunch. I never find him favoring anyone, in fact, if one could say he favors any team, I would say he favors the Flames. Straight up tells it like it is...adds a few good stories from his playing career. I really like his take on that panel.

My god. That is insane to watch those clips together. What a dominant game from Gaudreau. Easily could have had 8+ points. Unreal.

In fairness, we used to say that about Gretzky too.
