Flames had 9 even strength goals. Nine! 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9! Has that happened beofre? I mean the league has been around a while but 9 at ES has to be extremely rare if not unique.
Also, if the Flames ddin't win, I don't think the refs make it out of the parking lot.
First period, tire fire! Lucky to get out 3-2. Second period: Unfettered rage at the officiating. A rollercoaster.
Third period, "we want ten!" and the greasy oilers' fans shuffle out with 5:00 min to go.
A kid got sick and had to be tended to by the medics. A guy fell down the stairs and saved his beers, there were two fights on the way out. A classic tilt between Flames and Oilers hockey bros, and another hair-pulling on the grass 5-7 people brawl involving women, and I swear to god, their children.
It was the most "Hockey" hockey game I have seen in hundreds.
5 goals against is what happens when the Flames play poor defensively and have bad goaltending. Nine goals against is what happens when the Oilers play their regular defence and have bad goaltending.
Koskinen gets the hook, Ol' Stinkeye gets lit up. Draisaitl had a hattrick but you'd barely remember. except he was also -4! Same as McDingle####. Gaudreau 5 points, Chucky 4, Backlund 3, Tanev 3, Lindholm 2, Hanifin 2a and 500th game, and +5/.
This game was one for the ages! Bronze the Tape!
Go Flames Go!
edit: hilarious: overheard from an Oilers fan on the way out: "Where was Kassian tonight?!" Yeah, that was difference....Kassian

Did we also win the street fights or at least seem to have the edge?

Gaudreau (90 pts) passes Huberdeau (89 pts) in the scoring race. Now sitting 3rd only next to the power play boys.
Flames have a game in hand on the frauds. Drai (94 pts) McAvi (97 pts)

CHED is a lot of fun. Even they can't help but give the Flames credit. Not much, but some...

Saturday night, post game nights against the oilers are quickly becoming like the days when you open the TV Times on Friday morning and once in a while, if you were really lucky, Saturday Nights Main Event was there instead of the tired and worn out Saturday Night Live. Pretty much makes your next month nothing but gravy.

Watching Smith hitting a player lying down on ice was downright disgusting. It happened right in front of me. I have zero respect left for this guy.

I wonder how Archibald is enjoying his car ride back up the QE2 right now.
