Edmonton is no good.

And honestly how cocky are we as a fan base?

I know I'm not.

The team is good enough to make the playoffs, and quite easily by the looks of it. But as a franchise we've pulled up lame in a lot of playoffs series.

I like the depth.
I like the coach.

But until I see this consistency (which has waned a bit in the last week or so) in the post season I'm not beating my chest or counting my chickens.

Meanwhile, Oilers fans are already gearing up for the Second Round.

I hope you sneak her an early beer at the game

If you're going to the game tonight, you'll want to be there for warm-ups.

Trust me.

It's nice to be excited about the playoffs and potentially going on a deep run, but all of this SC talk by the media is putting a lot of needless pressure on the Flames. I hope they stop, but they won't. It's incredibly hard to win a SC and the way they are talking it's basically SC or bust, ridiculous pressure.

Quite the opposite. This fanbase tends to be pessimistic and when things are going well the belief is still the rails will come off anytime now or in the playoffs.

Flames are 19-4-2 in their last 25 and posters were saying they haven't been good for a while last game lol

Flames fans are not the cocky ones

Is this right? McDavid isn’t on enough lines.

Since this isn't the E=NG thread I'm going to say that when healthy, that forward group actually has some decent depth. There's garbage human beings and questionable fit in certain roles, but talent wise there's some depth there.

The D remains a hot mess of overpaid and under experienced.

Predictably, everything will unravel with their goaltending.

Dubas in Toronto is getting heat for not addressing the goaltending. I think Holland deserves more heat. This may be the best team they'll have, and they're hinging it on Kostinem and 40 year old firecracker, Mike Smith. Yikes.

Why don't you just say the reason instead of trying to create some silly buzz.

Because it's supposed to be a fun little surprise, nik-. But people won't get to see the surprise if they're late! So make sure you get there for warmups.

We all know Drai will end up with McDavid and Kane by the middle of the 1st and they will play half the game in ice time.
