You know what I'd like to see? Our top line come out and smack them in the mouth. We always seem to play scared against McDavid and show him too much respect. I want to see Johnny take the game over. He's a superstar, I want him to show up and be the star of the show on HNIC with all the McDavid lovers watching.

Really glad the Flames didn’t look past the Yotes tonight. I want them to annihilate the oilers tomorrow.

When's the last time we had a real laugher against them? That's what I want, like a 7-1 win or something like that...not even close.

It’s been awhile, but yes I agree. Like 11-1 or something insane.

Same, no mercy. Punish McDavid and let him flop around and pout like the biatch he is. You just know the Oil will be getting PPs off of Connor's antics so make him hurt for his trouble.

The last time we played them, McDingus was a total non-factor, and it seemed like the Flames finally figured out how to play him and were rewarded with a decisive victory as a result. I want to see more of that again tomorrow. As long as they play him aggressively, annoy the f*** out of him, and don't give him any space, they'll be fine.

Top line was looking great. I believe that is a new career high in points for Tkachuk after tonight?

Boston beat Tampa last night and passed them in the standings. Bolts are now 4th place in their division.
4 good teams in that division for sure, but they also have 4 weaklings in that division to beat up on all the time I guess.

Oh man, how great would it be if the Atlantic match-ups in the first round were a battle of Florida and Boston v. Toronto for the millionth time?

For the first time since early November, the Flames have played an equal number of games at home and on the road.
Tomorrow will be the first time all season that they have played more home games than road.

Know what you mean. And I'm so annoyed that not only is it away, to the Oilers, but also back-to-back. Like how does that double-whammy land like that NHL?

Do you mean "away" as in road game? Flames are at home tomorrow, so they don't have to travel at least. And they'll have last change and the sea of red behind them. Relax, we've got this.

Johnny is unreal. Just electric, makes something good happen every time he's out there.
Coleman and Jarnkrok had ton of chances, they looked good just snake bitten.
Dube was working hard, noticeable in a good way all night.
Love loooch, but man...he is right cooked. Like a complete tire fire with the puck. You really have to wonder if he comes back for another year. The fans love him clearly, but he just doesn't have it anymore.
The 4th line was not very good IMO, not sure what the fancy stats say but I wasn't impressed. A lot of that was Lucic though. Hopefully the addition of Carpenter will help, but man I think Pelletier could be a 4th line buzzsaw kind of like Mangiapane was in 2018/19.
Pelletier - Carpenter - Lewis/Ritchie
I doubt we see that happen though. They'll probably leave him down for hopefully a long playoff run with the top team in the AHL.
|
You must live out of town? I agree about Looch, he handles the puck like a grenade these days-seems like he's lost the passion, much like his first year here, when he said he wanted to quit after extended 4th line duty.
