Knights fans aren't that aware...most of the people in the stands are there to drink and party...cheer when the red light tells you to (although that might not happen much these days)
Really bad take.
Knights fans are great - no different, knowledge-wise, with any other US fanbase, from my experience.

Can't argue with your experience because it is your experience, but I do question the "any" US fan base. The "any" is a pretty wide net. Their fans could be great in terms of enjoying the game because their team has been competitive. Let see how their enthusiasm is after their team miss the playoff a few years.
I have a feeling that going forward, if a team or league thinks a NTC/NMC has been invalidated they will have to notify the player/agent in writing and register that notification with the NHLPA.
I don't understand, why is it ridiculous for VGK on the hook for his salary? He is under contract, a guarantee contract with Vegas. Honest question.
I believe someone was suggesting that Vegas should pay Dadonov's salary but also let him walk as a UFA. That combination would definitely be ridiculous.

More likely, NTC lists will have to be filed with the league from now on, as a couple of media people have suggested.

Okay, how about this: no different than most of the other markets, other than the few hockey centers.
Feel better?
It's a really bad, and really arrogant take that many Canadians have that American fans don't understand the game.
Do you guys understand football? Baseball? Basketball?
Reading crap like Dino wrote is embarrassing.

If I'm Bill Armstrong right now, I'm grinning like a crocodile.
I can't see Arizona being interested because Dadonov is set to be paid more than his cap hit next year. The Coyotes will be looking for the deals that are high cap, low cash.

After the dust settles in a couple of day, Dadanov should demand a trade now out of Vegas, but he can decide where he wants to go as he has a NTC, driving Vegas's return way down. Many other players have done that in the past, including our very own Jarome Iginla!!

There is something in this trade call that stood out to me, and it's a line from the NHL: "any terms of the SPC not disclosed in the conference call become the responsibility of the acquiring club"
And the NHL guy states: there are no trade restrictions in place for either players, cap and LTIR are both fine.
This is 100% on Vegas.

Calm down. It isn't to make me feel better, it's just a "talk" in a "hockey forum". This is what forum do, we present an opinion and some one present something the opposite. No biggie. Don't need to huff and puff about it. I don't agree with what you said about many Canadian have that American fans don't understand the game, but some American fans don't.

I do understand football...wait, are you talking about NFL now? I have absolutely no interest in NFL, or MBL, or NBA for that matter. But what have those got to do with hockey? If the American want to tell me I don't know Jack from Queen about football, baseball or basketball, I'm fine. I won't go huff and puff about it. They are all just game. Besides, making fun of the American is you know, fun. It's like making fun of the Oilers, don't see you get all huff and puff defending the Oilers fans. Besides, what Dino said isn't offensive, at least not in my eyes.

It's offensive to Enoch because he is picking on his beloved Golden Knights. Love it when posters out themselves.

unless Arizona is on the list too. And I'd be surprised if they weren't.
they'd need to find a team that a) is out of the race, b) has cap space to take him on and c) isn't on Dadonov's list. Good luck with that.
I almost feel bad for the level of Schadenfreude I feel. Almost.
I’ve heard the California teams were on his NTC list because of tax implications. If his list follows that methodology, then I’d guess ARI is not on his list as the tax situation there is great.
