LOL. I just happened to be in a Zellers this morning. They had sold out of their Wii's for today, but were taking preorders for next week's shipment. Managed to snag one of those, and I wasn't even looking to buy one.

Though some may advise against turning off the gateway firewall, the fact that I hacve 2 software firewalls, plus the only way to find my gateway wirelessly is to enter the specific name and password for it on the device, makes it pretty safe.
If you don't have problems with your 2Wire firewall, then ignore everything I just said, if you do and wish to keep the gateway firewall enabled, then contact Telus and Nintendo to help you through it.
Make sure you use the manual connection instructions from the 2Wire Website (for the DS), as the automatic connection will not work.

Their manual setup guide missed one crucial piece of info that I found on Nintendo's site - the PC, Wii and DS are now connected to the network flawlessly.

Good to hear it. Hopefully there will be a non-pokemon game coming out soon that has Multiplayer to play (I do not like Pokemon).

If Online Multiplayer is key for you, you'll be dissapointed with the Wii.

Its not the key, but come on man, the system is only a few months from release. Online support is coming for many games releasing in the next year.

Stay away from Blazing Angels... Buy The Godfather. Best game on the Wii right now IMO.

If you are really desperate for Wiimotes or nunchuks, why haven't you ordered directly from Nintendo? My extras arrived weeks ago.

Yes the Godfather is great on the Wii. Picked a copy up on Friday.
I don't need another Wiimote but I thought some people might be looking so I posted a heads up.

I have Tiger Woods 07, and it is great. It does not mpa your movements one to one like Wii Golf, but it does map your back stroke, and how fast you swing the club forward and gauges the power of your shot; it also gauges how you are holding the remote on your follow through, so if you have a tendency to slice the ball in real golf, you probably will do the same in Tiger Woods 07. It can be frustrating at first (like real golf) because you can't get a perfect swing everytime, which is more realistic. I have Tiger woods 03, and there were rounds I could easily get 15 or 20 under par on a round, that's not happening anymore.
If you don't like swinging and prefer the analog stick, you can hook up a nunchuk and do it the old way too.
If you need a golf game fix, this is definately the best out there for all platforms.
In short, Bobblehead, if you like golf games, get this one.

I bought my system at Roger's Video of all places. They get 3 or 4 in every Thursday, and they put my name on a waiting list until one showed up. You guys could always try that, it might work out.

That sounds great.
How easy is it to learn? Could a friend dropping by learn it enough to enjoy a good round, or is there a learning curve?
