This is pretty much the Toffoli deal price but for a rental

Barron = 1st
2nd = Heineman
Nothing = 5th + Pitlick

Basically the Flames paid a 5th to have the Habs eat the Pitlick contract but gave up a 1st and a prospect drafted in the 2nd where Barron was a prospect drafted in the 1st and a 2nd round pick

RFAs are only rentals if a team that acquires them have no intention of giving them a QO.

This doesn't seem to be the case for Lehkonen as Sakic mentioned having team control of Lehkonen was the major reason they gave up Barron. In other words they aren't giving up Barron for 1 playoff run with Lehkonen

Which makes a lot of sense sureLoss, thanks for posting that. I would agree, this is more of a hockey trade than a rental situation.
