I don’t buy this “don’t mess with the chemistry” rubbish.
This is a tight group and it is led by Darryl Sutter. Chemistry isn’t going to be a problem. Make the team as good as it can be.

If this was about djs’ post, I don’t think he was talking about chemistry. He was just saying the team is darn good now, and unless the upgrade is substantial, no need to spend.
Now, other people have talked team chemistry strictly about Monahan, but I don’t buy that one. He’s gone in the offseason anyway and I suspect everyone on the team knows it. But with him, despite the criticism, there’s no real viable upgrades out there for now.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
TSN suggested that Carson Soucy would be a fit in Edmonton but I think he's someone the Flames should be in on if available. Big (and localish), under contract for 2 more years I believe, can be a Zadorov replacement next season if he leaves or 7D if Mackey or Valimaki take that step. Seattle could potentially eat salary for a better pick too. Something to ponder. Thoughts?

Every year on deadline, a couple of us take the day off of work, make a bunch of food and just watch hockey stuff all day. I've been looking forward to this day for a while...I tested positive this morning so you guys are all I have today.
Please let there be some kind of amazing Flames news today.

If he comes cheap, Clutterbuck would be a great add for depth... That bottom 6 would be an absolute pain to play against.
