There is also a whole lot of real estate between saying it was not as bad as they thought and that they were hopeful he wouldn't be out long, to announcing that he will miss the next 6 weeks.
I totally understand that a diagnosis 24 hours after the occurrence is probably more thorough than one completed right after the game, and Brunette did say tomorrow that they would know for sure (which makes sense, because tomorrow for him is the day they need to get their cap situation tight

I can totally buy that the injury is indeed as bad as it looked, plus if you are trying to pull the LTIR shenanigans, you go all out on a replacement, not someone like Hagg. So I am giving Florida the benefit of the doubt here. But the news today certainly was a complete 180 from the news last night. Those types of things will bring up some doubt. Brunette should have been a little more discreet.
