No. Nope.not in the least. Nada. Ixnay. Let the past be the past.
Had to be a mid range guy out their to be had for cheap with a low value contract.

I highly doubt Monahan would waive his ntc to go to Seattle when there is a chance to win the Stanley cup . Even if it’s playing on 4th line all through the playoffs . Also if flames did bring in a top 4 D ( very doubtful ) it would probably be Kylington sitting over Zad in the playoffs . Not saying that’s what I do , but Sutter likes experience and the playoffs are a hard hitting affair .

Yeah.....no.
I believe Gio leaving is a pretty big factor in seeing so many guys take a step this year. Particularly Rasmus and Oliver.
Beyond that though, you arent spending that kind of capital to bring someone in to watch from the press box, so who sits?
Kylington more likely than Zadarov in this case, and not sure anyone sees that as a step up or forward.

Personally I don’t think they want a replacement for Zadorov. My hunch is it’d be Kylington that gets pushed out if they go that route.

I think it would depend on the type of defenceman acquired. A bigger, heavy hitter would supplant Zadorov and a puck mover (Lindholm) would bump Kylington. Not sure there is anyone out there that would supplant either anymore.

I like Clutterbuck as an addition to the 4th line.

Also, this should be reiterated:
Dillon Dube:
CF%: 54.57
SF%: 54.21
GF%: 45.28
xGF%: 56.12
SCF%: 57.03
HDCF%: 57.68
HDGF%: 46.15
MDCF%: 56.60
MDGF%: 47.62
LDCF%: 52.46
LDGF%: 33.33
Dillon Dube has been playing good all season, things just haven't been going terribly well for him when it comes to the puck - and a lot of that can be chalked up to where he had been playing in the line-up with players that we've actively pushed down the depth chart with the acquisitions of Toffoli and Jarnkrok.

I've watched a couple games... yeah he's a shell of his former self, but could have one last run in him.

Clutterbuck for Lucic would be something but can’t imagine anyone with any trade protection not doing anything they can to stay on this team.

I hope Sutter gives Dube an extended look with Tkachuk and Backlund. I really believe that could be like found money to just get a bit of confidence in his game. One of the best skaters on the team that could flourish in that role.

It's worth nothing he has 7 points in his last 14 games as well.
