Don't really think Colorado was ever really an option.
He was only waiving for Florida. He might have left Colorado as "an option" just so the Flyers could create an illusion of having a market to maximize return.
Probably something Florida realized and why they had to grind away at the trade the last few days.

If the Flames get to the Stanley Cup final, a couple of players will feature prominently that were acquired using the assets from the Bennett deal.
It seems like it has been a win-win-win for the player and both teams.
Again a silly thing to get worked up about.
