You never know…
This Florida core has been a bit like the Flames in that they have been inconsistent. And Bobrovsky is always inconsistent year to year.
Plus the coach that seemed to straighten the ship is gone now.

I wouldn't want the Flames to trade 2023 unprotected for next season and I fully expect them to make it.

Florida also has I won a playoff series since the mid 90s so I wouldn't say almost a 2nd.
Mid to late first is most likely

Difference is that the panthers have all of their top guys signed for next year. If the flames had Johnny Tkachuk Mang signed then I would agree with you
