Agreed. Although I hate the podium with the spandrel that looks like it's supposed to match the exterior of the tower, but doesn't at all.

Well, it's closer than Las Vegas or Disneyland. Still the other end of the city from me.

Anybody been to "The Dark Arts", the new bar that took over the old Brewster's/Beer Revolution space on 11th Ave and 8th Street SW? I didn't even know there was a new business in there until I noticed a sign a couple days ago.

But those other places cost lots of money though, to go to, though.

At $1.679/L from the North, so does the deep south.

I don't hate this as Cactus Club is pretty decent for a chain restaurant, in my opinion.

It's a good add for NW Calgary, we are pretty thin on restaurants in general for whatever reason. Crowfoot Crossing in particular.

Crowfoot crossing has 3 bigger chain restaurants, a handful of smaller restaurants and pubs, and then like a dozen fast food places.
How much more do you need?? lol

Montana's has been gone for several years. Tona Roma's / Red Devil used to be there and is gone as well. Hudson's pub - gone. Shanks - gone. Nice to see some things finally replacing some of them.

I've seen a video of Knoxvilles (aka Roadhouse for the older crowd) being torn down today on Instagram. It's going to be the a re vamped substation for Enmax.
The dust from that demolition could probably give you chlamydia.

The only bad thing about that is that they had the best tent for Stampede. Big, spaced, lots of bars and bathrooms and great souund.

It was the best tent by a wide margin.
Definitely a big loss.
