The Palisade feels richer. Like, the premium level one has quilted leather seats, as an example. It also has a digital gauge cluster versus a primarily analogue one in the Telluride. The centre screen also flows nicer from the gauge cluster in the Palisade versus the more "tacked on" look of the Telluride. The centre console is also more premium and angled toward the occupants in a more modern way than in the Telluride. There's a neat storage area under the centre console in the Palisade, which the Telluride does not have. The Telluride has an old-school gear shifter lever that wouldn't look out of place in a Ford Tempo, whereas the Palisade has more elegant buttons for Drive, Park, Reverse, etc.
Also, you can get different colours for your interior leather in the Palisade as you go up the trim levels. At the top, the Telluride only has black leather, of which I'm not a fan. I like white, cream or even brown leather more than black leather. In the Telluride, you get black. That's it (in Canada, anyway).
I just find the Palisade is ugly AF on the outside to the point where its far superior interior just doesn't sway me.

E-Class wagon, with rear facing jump seats. The 63 is dead, I believe.
Doesn’t help the purse clutchers who only feel safe 7 feet off the ground though.

Even just look at the glove compartment latch in the Palisade. Super nice compared to the whatever one in the Telluride.

The Carnival is full of glossy black plastics that will look absolutely disgusting the minute you drive it off the lot, but especially considering it's a likely children hauler.
The glossy black plastic is reason enough not to buy it.

Totally. How, in 2022, is that still a thing?
I imagine they're ergonomically nice in that they're very close to where you're already looking and within reach, but surely they can do it in a way that doesn't look like I did it over a couple beers in my garage with an old tablet and various L-brackets from my junk drawer.

Mercedes-Benz has started moving away from this with the GLE and GLS SUVs, though the S Class took a different approach and just moved the tablet lower (still looking forward to those pics of agulati's dad's ride!)... Hopefully a sign of things to come.

This may belong in the Gear Grinders Thread, but WTF this morning.
I'm at a red light beside a brand new Raptor. Both of us are first in line with a wide open Barlow Trail in front of us. We make eye contact. I inch forward a bit a couple times to indicate it's on. I'm in a fast car and he's in a fast truck. That's what we have these for, right? Light turns green and he fataing takes off like a granny. I just gunned it up to the speed limit.
Like, WTF, dude. Go get a Ridgeline if you're going to completely waste a cool vehicle. Fata him.
